Back in 2014 DC Collectibles released their first Designer Series action figures based on the artwork of Greg Capullo and his run in the New 52 Batman comic. The figures are in 7 inch scale, a little bulky, and featured a wider range of articulation than their New 52 line did. 12 figures were planned and solicited, but only 11 came out. Two Face was set to be released along with Gordon, Batgirl and Zero Year Batman, but never dropped. Well, about a year later he is finally here! Just in time too as the line is continuing with Joker, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Survival Suit Batman (see here and here). We’ve been waiting for this for a year now, so let’s take a look after the break!

DC Collectibles Greg Capullo Designer Series Two-Face
Pros
Great head sculpt
Washing on burnt areas well done
Cons
Lack of alternate hand for coinless action
Overall
Overall happy with Two-Face. He was desired more for completeness at this point. For a limited range suited figure, he’s well done. The face sculpt and paint application on it is the best feature, it has depth to the sculpt and the paint highlights it. I dug the line when it first dropped and over time I’ve come to appreciate it even more, realizing how well done they are. Big, bulky, articulation, paint, semi-deep roster. Can’t ask for more. Glad we’ll be getting a few more in the Capullo style this year, hopefully a few more after that!
