I was always more fond of 4-LOM than IG-88. His/its head is weird and buggy but then I also find it easier to believe something with basically C-3PO's build could be effective in combat compared to a string of pipes.

Also where the hell does "Internecivus Raptus" come from? I searched it on Google but wasn't willing to dig deep enough to find the actual point of origin. The most I found was an article discussing why xenomorph isn't the name of the aliens themselves but rather a smarty pants way of saying alien and other attempts to give them a name so far don't work either.

Term was used in the extra features on the Alien DVD release. Apparently that is a reference to the name of the Xenomorph species.

Technically every alien species that isn't strictly humanoid could be called xenomorph since it's just the grouping of the Greek words for foreign/strange and shape. Hell all insects and most every fish is applicable to the term. It is all we have to call the Aliens though without just calling them aliens, maybe the next Prometheus film could drop us a more suitable name.

Yeah, but C-3PO moves like he's in a body cast. I wouldn't call that combat-effective.

Like "Engineers"? No thanks, I'll stick with Space Jockeys and Xenomorphs, kthx.

We don't know that 4-LOM moves like 3PO for all we know he can get moving when he has to, maybe 3PO's just running on a basic droid set up but 4-LOM has everything overclocked to perform better. I'm just saying that looking at 4-LOM next to IG-88 one of them is anatomically filled while the other is a stick-man who looks like the winds of Bespin would defeat it.

Except nobody ever called them Space Jockeys in film so Engineers is our Earth designated name to those guys (although the one on LV-426 could still be called the space jockey). I prefer the sound and ring of Space Jockey over Engineer but the implication of being called Engineers is neat. For all we know in the next film their species name will be revealed as blub-bobs or some shit.

I dread the next Prometheus flick for the damage it could do, like the prequels to Star Wars. Can't leave well enough alone.

(Imagine what a facehugger could produce with Jar-Jar. Yikes.)

I'm looking forward to Prometheus 2, though I don't deny there were parts of Prometheus that felt 'on the fly' at best.
