Posted on December 14, 2015 at 7:47 am by Joe Moore under DC Toy News

Check out a second preview of the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 1/6 Scale Figures that was posted by Hot Toys. The new preview image gives us a much better look at the Batman figures and a blurry look at the Superman figure. These will be fully revealed at the Toy Soul 2015 show on Dec 18 in Hong Kong. We’ll have more as it becomes available.

See the new preview after the jump.

I'm likely all in on this line, but I'm especially looking forward to armored Bats and WW.

I'm sure these will be cool, but since I am not all that interested in the movie, it's unlikely I'd be interested in the figures.

I got nothing from that trailer.... Affleck's Bat voice, not exactly a winner. I am sure that Hot Toys will nail it. I think this is the new Lone Ranger all over.

Sorry to anyone looking forward to this, I didn't mean to offend either of you.

Looking forward to the Batman Figures.

Not sure how I feel about Goofy Lex/Generic Heath Ledger Joker guy. He came across as a mix of Joker and Mr. MXPYZTNGHIFGIPTL. Also, why does he seem to be around half the age of the heroes? I'm not up on my DC lore.

I agree that Affleck's Bat-Voice may be suspect. The Wonder Woman part was great though.

I thought from the beginning that Eisenberg was a poor choice for Luthor and each trailer confirms my fears. I wouldn't bring up Ledger Joker at all since that was an amazing (Oscar winning) performance. This Lex just seems eccentric. I also really don't like Doomsday's face.

Actually, he and Henry Cavill are the same age(32). Only 5 months difference.

Eisenberg reminds me of the flair waiter from Office Space: a gnat.

That bit of poor characterization notwithstanding, I think this trailer looks fantastic, but hope they didn't just give away more-or-less the entire plot structure of the movie. That would SUCK. Leave at least a couple of big, whopping surprises!

Not trying do discredit the Joker performance in any way. I believe a majority of people acknowledge it as a great performance. I was more or less commenting along the lines that the overall look of the character and his mannerisms/speech came across, to me, as a cheap riff on said Joker performance. I'd also consider that, as the actor or commentator, ground to stray from not graze on. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

@Panther- As for the age thing as they appear together in this film, not our 616. To me both Bruce and Clark appear to be much older than Lex when they are in shots together. Two of them look to be grown men, the other looks to be more in place on an episode of Smallville/Arrow/Flash. It must just be his size or clean shaven boyish looks? I guess I've always envisioned Lex to have more of a stoic vibe. Someone has to be the comic relief though, right?

Don't you know that's the trend for movie trailers now. Ruining the movie before it's even released. I'M LOOKING AT YOU TERMINATOR GENYSIS!!!

Lex Luthor is totally ruined by this movie. All I can say is the character is totally wrong and he is a total Joker (Heath Ledger) rip off and a bad one at that. I wish that someone besides Zack Snider would have done these movies. Him and Michael Bay must be twins or somehow the same person because they both make really really crappy movies and know how to turn something awesome into something really crappy

It'll be interesting to see how these turn out. I doubt I'll get any, but if there was anything that could get me into collecting 1/6th scale figures, it would probably be this.

I kinda hope they don't do a Wonder Woman for this movie. Not that she doesn't deserve to be made, but I think they should wait till next year to do one of her based on her own movie.

As for the talk of Lex... I honestly don't get a Joker vibe at all. Though I defiitely get the comparison to Gene. He's kind of energetic and almost flamboyant in a way, but doesn't quite have the voice or strength Gene gave the role.

Maybe it's because I grew up on Bruce Timm cartoons but I've never really considered Hackman to be that great of a Lex. He was entertaining as hell sure but not really "Lex Luthor: Nemesis of Superman" to me. Spacey was okay but still not there. At least he came of as somewhat threatening. Eisenberg (as of now) comes off as an over-the-top weirdo trying to be a cartoon character. BUT Just like Leto as the Joker I'm waiting to see the movie before I really start judging. I wasn't really a fan of him in the Suicide Squad trailer but the movie looks good (so does Dawn of Justice) so I'm waiting to see how he is in it.

Lex from the DCAU will always be the definitive Lex for me just like DCAU Joker is the definitive Joker. And it doesn't hurt that Lex is voiced by Clancy Brown and he's awesome.

I was reading the whole post before this sentence thinking "when will he say Clancy Brown?" It's kind of like how you can't talk Joker performances without bringing up Mark Hamill, Heath Ledger was superb but Hamill defined the Joker in media.

I really like the batsuit design. It's the right colours finally, and the shorter ears look good.

The movie itself is going to be spectacularly, jaw-droppingly bad.

Doggone it, you had to say that, didn'tcha?!

I feel truth in your words. Everything hinges on good storytelling. The biggest mistake IMO would be if the plot degenerates into another big CG smash-fest with silly one-liners. I'm thinking that it's best to wait for home video release, so if it turns out to be a stinker, then I'm not much out of pocket.

The new costumes seem nice enough. I'm looking forward to Armored Batman.

Even though I agree that I hate Eisenberg as Lex, and from what I have seen of Doomsday in the trailer, they have totally ruined his look, I am still excited for the movie. Doomsday looks like "Incredible Hulks" movie version of Abomination . If they would have just made him look like the comics version all would have been right in the world. That said... I can't wait for the figures. All the Batman figures are a must. Desert Batman, Armored Batman, and the regular version. I hope they really improve on the Superman figure costume too.

Looks like a suped up Vette, I'll get it. Does anybody know what is happening with their 1960's Batmobile. I have the Dark Knight trilogy version and its awesome This movie is probably gonna be crappy. Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor is just a rip of off Heath Ledger's joker which has already been said, and these film companies wonder why people download stuff instead of buying

Very good and interesting point. Similarly, I recently purchased a couple of new action figures not because I like the characters especially, but because the designers did such a nice job. I WANTED THEM TO MAKE MONEY, because good effort and artistry and production decisions resulted in a quality product!

For all the fuss over intellectual property and copy rights, I wish more attention was paid to the consumer, who is sick and tired of walking out of theatres and other places and feeling gypped. I love seeing good movies in theatres. Trouble is, there just haven't been many good movies!
