Last year, Sideshow released their Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Darth Vader Deluxe Sixth Scale Figure. Earlier this year, Hot Toys released their own Star Wars: A New Hope Darth Vader 1/6 Scale Figure. It looks like it’s now Sideshow’s turn to do a Darth Vader again. Sideshow has posted pre-orders for a new Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure. Unlike the Deluxe figure, this does not appear to offer a removable helmet and does not include a battle damaged hand. The figure does include some newly sculpted element, multiple interchangeable hands, a lightsaber and a figure stand.
Darth Vader is priced at $229.99. It is scheduled for release in Summer 2016. See the photos and more info by reading on.

that looks pretty sweet...and dead on..
*UPDATE*
staring at the pic some more..
that would be like THE definitive Vader for me...that thing looks great..
Agreed. IMO, this one is the best yet.
I've always preferred HT to Sideshow. I think it's just an inevitability that they will do an ESB and ROTJ Vader at some point. Granted they will cost a heck of a lot more, but...
I'm thinking seriously about picking this one up. Do we have any collectors of articulated 12" Vader figures on the Ark? If you have a favorite version (choosing between Hot Toys and Sideshow), I for one would be curious to know which one and why, and expect that others would likewise appreciate your thoughts.
I had the Hot Toys Vader for a brief moment. Didn't like it and immediately sold it back off. Didn't like the fabric used, felt too thick and just off. Didn't like the way they handled batteries as they are super pain in the ass, especially for the lightsaber. Also didn't like the way they handled the gloves, as the hands were hard plastic, but the rest of the glove was fabric that velcroed to the plastic. It just didn't look right to me.
It's funny reading my previous comment. SSC prices have almost been on par with HT with some stuff lately, but a lot of people complain that it's no where near the quality.
Thanks, guys! Much appreciated. I want the Vader figure that looks best in his classic holding-the-belt-boxes pose, and both versions seem equally capable in that regard.
Thanks to Joe for alerting me about the Velcro bits. Looking at a couple of video reviews, I see the Velcro bits are not complimentary at all. Scratch HT.
MegaPrime33's previous comment resonates: Vader is so iconic that there probably will be more versions to come, but I want one sooner rather than later, so will most likely pull the trigger for SSC. The head sculpt seems better, more like the definitive version (IMO) from New Hope.
Anyway, thanks again for your thoughts. Rgds
