Posted on October 21, 2015 at 8:45 am by Joe Moore under General Toy News

Freddie Mercury, who was the lead singer of Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Another One Bites The Dust), is getting the SH Figuarts treatment.  Tamashii Nations has revealed the figure as well as a small bit of info. Pre-orders and solicitations look to begin on October 29th. The figure is scheduled for a Japanese release in March 2016 at a price of 6,480 Yen (about $54 USD).

The Freddie Mercury figure looks to include three swappable portraits, a microphone and a mic stand. We’ll update when more images becomes available. Read on to check out a few pics.

Not the typical genre figure, but he looks pretty good. They have a real talent for head sculpts in this small size.

Wasn't sure if anyone else was going to care about this figure, which is why I hadn't posted it. Freddie is one of my all time favorite singers, so glad at least one other person seemed interested in it.

Looks really good. Love Queen... hopefully they do the rest of the band.

Hope they do other bands too. Would love Figuarts Beatles (1964 and Sgt Pepper versions), Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, and other bands (Lets face it, KISS has enough toys!)

Honestly, the only music one I would probably buy would be a Bowie as Ziggy Stardust figure.

wasn't there some leangle issue McFarlane ran into a couple years ago about Freddy's likeness? I remember seeing prototypes of the McFarlane figures.

this is just great, i love freddie and queen. the wembley stadium attire is easily his most iconic look but, i'd also be down for other versions of freddie cause he had a lot of great looking onstage looks throughout the years..

I think having some Green Day Figuarts would be amazing. They would only really have to make three anyway.

He isn't good as the Bruce Lee figuarts, but still cool.

Personally, I would prefer if they make a version of him as he appeared in "Life on mars" clip. I think that Bjork would also be a great addition.

Love this, it looks great. Will be a great accompaniment to the Michael Jackson figure.

If they made Layne Staley, I'd buy at least five of them.

Would love other figures from the big 90's bands or the Punk genre.

I hope Prince gets a figure in the musicians line. Some more good ones would be Axl and Slash or even the beatles

That is a damn good looking figure of Freddie. And if we're talking bands then sign me up for some figures of the Rolling Stones.
