A new MAFEX Star Wars Stormtrooper has been revealed by Medicom. Part of their Miracle Action Figure EX line, the Stormtrooper will stand at 6.3″ tall and feature over 15 points of articulation. The figure will include a blaster rifle and an articulated figure stand. It’s priced at 4,860 Yen (about $40 USD). No release date was listed (that I could see).
UPDATE:
This looks to be the same figure we reported on last year. Perhaps they are finally set to release the figure!

Medicom MAFEX Star Wars Stormtrooper Figure

This is the same Stormtrooper that's been on preorder forever. I finally got my payment request from Amiami this morning.
I had to check, I preordered it there August 28, 2014.

It is confirmed, the figure was released today.
I think it looks very nice, more screen-accurate than Revoltech or Figuarts, and with articulation superior to the Black Series, but alas: after Luke in trooper armor, Han in trooper armor, the orange and black and white-pauldroned sandtroopers, clone trooper, clone commander trooper, shadow trooper, classic trooper, and proto-Fett (which I gather was intended originally to be some kind of super trooper), not to mention upcoming crimson trooper and shock trooper, and the new chunky First Order trooper, I am totally tuckered out of troopers.

Correct, Boba Fett was originally going to be a commando for the Empire. A super-Stormtrooper as it were.
This Mafex Stormtrooper really reminds of how they looked in Robot Chicken. It's the joints, mainly the wrists and hips. Don't confuse this statement as a bad thing, it's just what I think.
Got a confirmation email from BBTS today that this figure and Vader should be arriving in the next two weeks or so.
Some Asian designers are finally experimenting with figure bodies that consist of a hard endoskeleton wrapped in flesh-colored silicon, having the potential to eliminate most visible joints, for high-end figures at least.
Another pics of Vader at Toysdaily.

The other figures in this line are the droids for May 2016.
