This is it, the last of the New 52 figures from DC Collectibles. The DCC New 52 line started in 2012 based on the relaunch of DC Comics in 2011 which shot the characters into the modern age with new looks and new backstories. The line featured 7 inch figures with mid grade articulation but fantastic sculpts and paint. Over time they worked in more articulation upping their desirability. They went through a lot of characters from the core Justice League, to a villains sub-theme, to Earth 2 and a lot of universe fillers. The last wave featured Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, The Joker, and John Stewart, who we will take a look at today. We’ve also updated DC Collectibles recent checklist with the last wave of figures and the SDCC Blueline Batman! Check it all out after the break courtesy of site sponsor Entertainment Earth!

New 52 Green Lantern (John Stewart)
Pros
Great sculpt
Metallic sheen pops
Green eyes nice touch
Cons
Lack of articulation (but that’s a given for the line)
Overall
Overall a great capper to the line. I’m sure we’ll get repaints here and there over the years, but for the most part we are done. New 52 has become DC YOU after the 2015 Convergence event, and the universe is moving on. On the toy front, DC Icons is starting up later this year and will pull from all generations of DCU, a little smaller 6 inch format, and more articulation. I was a fan of the New 52 relaunch, and the toys that came with it allowed me to jump into the DC game since I was focused on other things when the Mattel DCUC line was in full swing. I think DC Collectibles has put out some great stuff over the last several years with New 52, the game figures, Designer series, and the Batman Animated offerings, I’ll be keeping these in rotation even after Icons takes it’s place.

Not too many more planned as of now, but here's the start of our last hurrah into the New 52 line from DCC.
First up, Harley!
Face seems to have puffed up a bit since they started previewing it.
Yeah, that's the one thing that I don't dig in this one, the face is a bit bloated looking. Can't tell if it's the purposeful design or a mold issue.
The figure was absolutely perfect in the initial preview, but now she looks like she got botched face surgery.
Well Amanda Conner has always kinda drawn her with a more rounded and puffy face, so I think this looks pretty good. If you want serious Harley go get the Arkham Knight figure.
i've heard her for a few weeks now, and i thought the same as well. her face is puffy and in certain angles she looks right and in other angles she looks weird.... maybe that's why i haven't opened her yet.
Poison Ivy is up, finally.

DC Collectibles New 52 Poison Ivy Photo Shoot - The Toyark - News
Really great sculpt, face is perfect, like the opposite of that Harley face.
That Ivy looks really good. The Harley not so much.
They're both pretty cool!

Rather disappointing redesigns, IMHO.
I think they are both nice looking, but they don't really go together very well. The Harley Quinn looks like she should have been in the designer series since she obviously looks so much like the artwork from her solo series. The Poison Ivy figure looks more generic because she doesn't seem to be based on any particular artists' work. I have both figures and they both look fine standing side by side, but they just don't seem like they fit together to me. I really like the Harley Quinn figure because of all the sculpted and painted details. The Ivy is a little disappointing because she has so little articulation but I have come to expect that from DC.
Last wave Joker is up! Just running clean up on these, not super duper new.

DC Collectibles New 52 Joker (2nd Version) Photo Shoot - The Toyark - News
The New 52 line was one of my favorites, very little re-use of parts and all seem to pulled from the pages of the comics of the New 52. The artist that did Poison Ivy isn't coming to mind, but she's one of my favorites of the line. This Joker is very similar to the Arkham Origins Joker, however the New 52 Joker does seem smaller than the Origins. Still it's a great addition to the line. Hopefully Swamp Thing won't be the last figure.
And, the end cap - Green Lantern John Stewart:

Goodbye New 52, hello Icons! It was a great run.
Also, updated DC Collectibles New 52 checklist. Doesn't include repaints but I did toss in the Blueline SDCC Batman.
