Shadow Jago Killer Instinct Figure

Posted on August 20, 2015 at 2:01 pm by Joe Moore under Video Game Toy News

Ultimate Source has tweeted out a few new photos of their upcoming Killer Instinct – Shadow Jago Figure. While not noted in their tweet, this looks to be one of their 9″ scale, near statuesque version with diorama style base. Ultimate Source has updated the face sculpt, paint apps and sword to be more accurate. The version on the right is the updated figure. We’ll have more info on the line as it becomes available.

At the Killer Instinct panel at EVO 2015, they announced a figure line being made by Ultimate Source. Approximate prices will be $20-50. Higher range will be for figures with bases that have electronics in them. They'll be released sometime in 2016.

Figures shown: Jago, Sabrewulf, Fulgore, Spinal, Hisako, and Shadow Jago.

Thanks for the heads up. Anyone know anything on the company? Can't find a web page for them.

God I hope 3.75 doesn't get the shaft again. I love fighting game characters in that scale.

    Static poses😔
I think it's great that we're finally getting Killer Instinct! That being said, I'm not too familiar with these designs. I only played the originals. I kinda hope this company adds more articulation to these. Otherwise they're McFarlane figures with lights. Static pose figures(IMO)are just plastic statues or models. If you can't change the pose it may as well stay sealed. Mostly Mint on Card collectors seem to appreciate these.
Good luck to this company with KI. Great license to have!

Joints are clearly visible on some of the figures. It's also stated that these are unfinished prototypes. Let's wait until we see something a bit more final before writing them off.

I'm pretty sure the figures are in the 6in scale (Might go nicely with the MKX figures from Mezco). They did confirm at the panel that Retro figures would show up. With only 18 characters (so far) in the roster, we'll probably see a good majority of them. The only one that might be iffy is Aganos.

Picture to give you an idea of the scale he would have to be...

Am I the only one disgusted with how they've been doing Killer Instinct? Restricting it to Xbone, releasing it a little bitty bit at a time?

They did that same crap with arkham letdown. I suspect this will be a disturbing trend to continue. Honestly i have not bought a new game in a long time as im not paying Full price for incomplete games. I will either wait for a game of the year version with all dlc on it or i just wont buy it period. I never buy dlc....either put out a full game or put out a goty or complete version or you dont get my money. Pay 60 plus bucks for a game then pay more for dlc or to unlock what already on the disc. I miss the good ol days of ps one and two, where games actually had to be finished ( more or less ) before they got released. Im not falling for the scams these game makers are pulling....its pure bull fertilizer.

I sometimes prefer non pose able figures. Because in my opinion too much articulation is not always a good thing. Shit, I grew up with just about everything Kenner made as a kid and that stuff lasted. (Toys)/action figures break so easily when there is too many joints. If I had a kid I wouldn't buy the crap that's made today.

Your doing yourself an injustice. Buy and play the base game. You can always decide after reviews of dlc if you want to buy extra. Some games like arkham knight and metal gear are must haves day one. I'll admit as a super die hard batman fan I was let down too. That stupid ass batmobile in 3/4 s of the game sucked. And having no civilians again in a city......not really getting to be the batman. I just hope a superman game comes out soon. Until then it's metal gear solid till battlefront

Luckily i have goty year editions of skyrim fallout 3 dragon age origins and a plethora of rpgs and fantasy games to keep my time occupied until the full release of the games come out. And mgs got weird after number two...........though i do enjoy mgs rising revengance.

It's coming to PC aand the way it's being released allows them to better focus on the individual characters and balance/uniqueness.

Microsoft owns the property now. It never had a chance to appear anywhere but XBO or PC.

This. SFV is going to be doing the same thing.

Small update. Here is their twitter account: https://twitter.com/ultimatetoy

They have more pics on there with the figures' accessories.

Well technically it could have happened on 360 (and in fact it was initially being developed for it) But yeah Microsoft has owned Rare for a while and they're just now really starting to mine their known properties outside of what, Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie? Even if 'crosoft didn't buy them they were a second party dev for Nintendo, so in that alternate universe where things remained as-is wed probably get a Wii U version and a 3DS version with no chance of a PC port. Then again we might potentially be on KI5 by now in that scenario.

Actually SFV being PS4/PC exclusive is a lot more hurtful for the average fighting game fan than KI's exclusivity.

Ono stated that the reason they are handling it this way is because of Killer Instinct and to a lesser extent MKX. They now want SFV to be a base game with 16 playable characters at launch, (with more to be released as time goes on,) but without forcing players to upgrade to a "championship edition" or "third strike" and purchase a new disk, as this was causing a bit of divide during the life cycle of SF4. This was a huge issue for a lot of players (myself included,) as they were forced to pay for characters that they didn't want in order to get the balance changes and patches to continue playing. (Looks at SF4 A.E., giving it the finger...)

Capcom also said that there will be ways to unlock all the new characters for free, based on how much you play, or....if you don't have the time to grind, you can pay for the character that you want. While I'm not a fan of DLC myself, it's a great model (not all that indifferent from what EA did with Rock Band all those years ago) as it allows you to get more mileage out of your base game, without segmenting your community and forcing a purchase to keep playing with them. You get to choose what you want, and how you earn it.
