Aliens Series 5 brings fans a mix of fan favorites and some previously released figures. In this wave, we get the 1986 Aliens version of Ellen Ripley, the Queen Attack version of Bishop and a releases of the Aliens: Genocide 2-Pack as individual red and black Aliens Warriors. Ripley features the likeness of actress Sigourney Weaver. The figure has a flamethrower/pulse rifle combo weapon as well as a bandolier accessory. Queen Attack Bishop will feature the likeness of actor Lance Henriksen and includes a new open Alien Egg and a Facehugger, which has bendable tail. The Xenomorph Warriors, as previously stated, are available in black and red versions. You can grab them now on NECA’s Ebay Store:

Aliens Series 5 by NECA
Pros
- Highly sought after Aliens version of Ripley
- Bishop with Egg and Facehugger makes a nice combo pack
- Second chance at Genocide Xenos
- Easy to troop build with Genocide Xenos now
- Facehugger is extremely well detailed
- Ripley’s great combo weapon
- Nice articulation all around, even on the torn in half Bishop
Cons
- Ripley’s gun strap can pop off
Overall
Packed on the standard NECA packaging, the figures feature character specific art on each card (with the Genocide Xenos mostly sharing the same art). Aliens fans finally have the Ripley they really wanted. I figure this is going to be the hardest one to come by at retail, much like the previously released Ripley. The Queen Attack Bishop, though, may steal the show here. By including the new Alien Egg and Facehugger, the figure is a great combo pack and pretty good value.
Likenesses are good here, with Bishop coming off, perhaps, a bit closer to the actors likeness. Ripley has a more blanks stare, and an extra head (for attackign the Xenos, would have been cool. Ripley features articulation on par with any current NECA release. Movement is possible in multiple spots along the arms and legs. There is waist twisting available, but no ab crunch (not that it’s needed here). She includes the combo pulse rifle and flame thrower. Be careful of the strap, as the connector to the back of the gun is very small, with mine popping out during posing. Bishop even features articulation, which I was surprised to see. His arms can be posed at the shoulders, elbows and wrists. The paint application of his Android fluid and the internal “guts” all look fantastic and rightfully gruesome (for a synthetic human). The Xenos are both fantastic molds as well. Articulation is a little more refined compared to the Big Chap Alien, but not quite as articulated as the Dog Alien. They both have bendable tails which helps with balancing and dynamic poses. Paint was well applied all around, and I ran into no chipping issues.
All-in-all this is a very solid wave, with great, highly requested figures. The Ripley is going to be a must buy, especially if you plan on buying the upcoming Power Loader. She’s likely to go the quickest as well, so keep your eyes open. The Bishop combo pack is top notch and fans get a second shot at the Genocide figures. Those will come in especially handy as troop builders when the killer looking Genocide Red Alien Queen is released.

Random thoughts:

1. Man, NECA just can't nail that Sigourney Weaver likeness, can they? Plus it looks like Ripley is wearing an adult diaper.
2. I love "battle damaged" Bishop, and it's cool that they're making up for the fact that they're only selling you half a figure by including an egg/facehugger combo. Bishop better be coming with some milk like in NECA's pics, however!
3. Weren't these black and red aliens already released?
These look awesome. I'm curious how good Ripley will look like in person, or if I'll even see her in the wild. I haven't jumped on board this toy line though, and probably never will.
The egg pack is the only thing I'll buy.
That curly hair is really hard to capture. I think Ripley is gonna be one of those figures, where you need to have the head positioned a certain way before you go "oh, there's the likeness".
But I'm getting that Bishop. I've been wanting the ripped in half, macaroni and cheese, Bishop since Neca announced this line
I want Ripley, Bishop with his egg, and 2 dozen eggs
Totally need just a easter basket full of those eggs. Any guess if we will see Ripley in her Bomber Jacket?? All they need to do is sculpt some arms and put a rubber body piece on the chest.
I really like that Ripley figure and this is definitely the version that I would want with the flamethrower and all. Apparently her likeness is hard to pin down, but I think they did a good job on her. I hope Ripley and the egg sacks aren't as hard to find as some of the other Neca Alien and Predator figures are in my area.

GREAT SHOTS! LOVE THE PHOTOS - especially the comparison ones.
Lance Henriksen is the nicest actor. I saw him filming in Vancouver a few years ago. I ordered one of the Bishop figures, and it's a decent likeness. The rest have to wait for now...
Awesome....Awesome....Awesome!
Hi! I'm new here and I was just wondering if the new genocide warriors feel more durable than the previous warriors? I have had problems with the series 2 warriors in the past and i'm hoping this feels more durable like the dog alien.

Great shots! Need to own Ripley and Half Bishop badly...
...love the quality and creativity of your photos. Ripley looks better here than in NECA's official pics xD I have her pre-ordered, so I'm counting the days until I can have her on my hands, though what I'm really hoping to get is her Alien³ and Alien Resurrection figures. Might get a hold of the black Xeno also. Aside from Ripley and the Xenos stuff I see no need for the other figures though. I'd hate to get incomplete set of characters. We won't get a pre-Facehugger Kane, Ash, most of the marines and none of the third and fourth human character sadly.
