Thanks for the pictures, I appreciate it!

I think most of these figures look pretty good, the sculpt/paint look on par with Marvel Legends. The only one that genuinely looks bad is that Arrow figure. I'm kinda bummed about that Calvin Ellis Superman though. When I heard we were getting a "black" Superman in this wave, I was hoping for Val-Zod. Figure still looks nice though.

Cool, it is great Mattel is given the collector's market a try after they failed to rip us off by trying to do it as online subscription only figures. Does any one know if the 4H are doing sculpts for this line?

They were doing a collector series and it was 4 inch. Now 4 inch collectors loose yet another articulated line.

Dear DC just because iron man is quite popular doesn't mean batman needs anotber iron suit.

Since Zero Year Batman mostly looks like a rip off of the DCC figure, I'd say no.

Tony B. reported in that this was the only new stuff from Mattel DC.

That is a pretty terrible BAF for the first wave. Could not think of something better for a BAF???? Flash tv Grodd??? ANY actual character from DC comics????

The pictures are definitely appreciated. Thouh I'll have to wait till I'm on a computer to see them in their full glory.

That said, the wave looks pretty solid. I wasn't expecting them to put out any of the other figures, but I'm glad they did. I'm not familiar with this Superman, but I do like how he looks. I'll have to look into some of the comics he's been in before this wave comes out.

I like the look of the C&C, but I do kinda wish they had started with something a bit more interesting. I didn't think about him before, but the TV Grodd would have been a good choice. Hopefully they'll consider him for a future wave.

I do hope this wave comes out a bit later in the year, rather than January. That way I don't have twelve 6" DC figures to track down all at once.

Edit: As for new stuff, this wasn't it. There were several new figures in the Batman Unlimited display. Mostly the 12" figures, but there was a new Batmobile for the 4" figures and what appeared to be a new gimmick figure or two.

It's nice to see Mattel coming to their senses and bringing back the 6 inch DC figures. Hmm I wonder if they are going to switching to that new Marvel Legends style of hips like on Zero Year Batman? If they are bringing back the 6 inch DC line, and plan on keep going beyond these shown I hope that they make some more improvements like they did with those hips... i.e. double jointed elbows/knees and ankle rockers/pivots. I know that these figures have sculpted chest emblems, but that isn't always the case with Mattel. So it would be nice if they could make overlays for the characters chest emblems instead of just painting them on.

As nice it is to see Mattel bringing back the 6 inch line they still need to work on character selection. I do like the CW show characters, but still not a fan of the Newer DC comic stuff, but I will pick up that Zero Year Batman just to see how they changed up the DCUC body. The BAF is really suppose to make you want to get the entire line to build it, but that Justice Buster just looks weird.

    HOLD IT HIT THE BREAKS.....

I see here 2 DCUC style figures (the Obama Superman that's what he was in the Comic Book so please do not get offended) is it possible that someone at Mattel actually realized they lost money because of the previous Managements mistakes and perhaps Mr. Sinclair actually put someone in Charge od the DC line willing to step up...

What I see is the same Jointing on the Superman that was used on all the Supermen previously released, the Joker is just the Suited Buck used already on countless reality all I see is 6 figures using DCUC style bucks and Movie Master Bucks and combination of the two.

Honestly with the C&C's I would just have picked up where they left off I still want a Highfather, Monitor, Killer Croc, Brother Warth. I do hope they quickly hit Vixen, Merlyn, and Indigo-1

Is that meant to be funny? 6 inch DC collected had Movie Masters,TV series, Bvs "basic collection ", Icons, BTAS, Total Heroes, and separate offerings for Arrow and Flash. How much more "back" can they come?
I'm happy for my 6" collector brethren, I think Mattel is getting some bad advice though if they think that 4 and 6 inch collectors are the same market.

Seems like they are regurgitating the same old suit buck for the Endgame Joker and he'll be obsolete after the Greg Capullo Designer Endgame Joker hits. I'm not really interested in any of the other figures they displayed, but I hope it's successful because it's always better to have more figures to choose from. Hopefully the line will be handled better now that Toy Guru is gone.

I'm guessing you didn't read what I actually wrote, and I also take it that you haven't been keeping up with Mattel's 6 inch DC line. Several of the lines you mentioned are from DC Collectibles which is a different company and not connected to Mattel. Mattel decided to kill the 6 inch DC collector line good while back, and switched to a less articulated 4 inch line thinking that the people collecting the 6 inch line would also collect those figures.

Fair enough, but there were at least two remaining Mattel lines and they announced three for BvS. And you post says come to their senses. They changed multiverse from the only 4" line to one of more than 8 produced for the 6" line. From a customers point of view do you care who makes the figures? I would love to see the 4 inch line that DCC teased then never released.
