These... actually look pretty good... Any word on how they plan on releasing them?

I still don't know how to feel about this. I'm glad they are being made but I hate the He-Man retooled body. I'd hoped they'd more styled to look like the animation.

Was really excited with the news, but looking at the figure's body aesthetic, I am not so sure now.

I think these figs look great and if I were a MOTU collector, I would gladly mix these two collections...

    These actually look really good!

Question, are you guys going to cover the Mattel 6" DC Multiverse stuff? You guys post the best pictures, and I was hoping you could get some shots of the new line. The Greg Capullo style Batman/Joker look pretty damn cool! I'm also excited to see that in addition to them bringing back their 6" DC line, that they're also doing a BAF again.

This is the first time in years that I've genuinely been pretty satisfied by Mattel's offerings. Sure things could be even better, but they're definitely on the right track!

Not bad, hopefully people can get a hold of them without any problems.

I find it a very odd choice to pick Jackalman to showcase and not Mummra or even Panthro. It's hard to imagine these are even 6" figures. They look smaller. ANd Lion-O's blow out is off putting. But you know what, it's better than nothing from this franchise.

    @MegaPrime

Not to be contentious or seemingly pugnacious, but Lion-o's coiffed hair has always been intentionally exaggerated...the whole lion mane thing going on there.

I thought the same thing about Jackalman, but he does demonstrate a good amount of sculpted detail. Additionally, they may be saving heavy hitters/fan favorites for a "splash-factor" in the coming months.

I'm excited that Mattel will be releasing new Thundercat action figures; however I'm not too crazy about Lion-O's head sculpt. I have to agree with MeggaPrime33, the hair isn't atheistically pleasing. The paint apps look clean. I will be buying these, but only because I'm a huge fan. Overall not bad though.

I hope they release Panthro and Cheetara. Seeing as we got Lion-O, Tygra (I wasn't crazy about his bulky body) and Mumm-Ra from Bandai a few years back. It will be nice if these Mattel figures are in scale with the ones from Bandai.

Anyway, yep, Thundercats + MattyCollector = Nope.

I'm pretty excited as well. Especially with them doing both comic book and TV figures in the line, and the reintroduction of C&C stuff.

Oh, and does anyone know if Mattel is oing to have a panle on their BvS and DC comics stuff? If so, when will it be? and will there be live coverage of it?

I am totally blown away that some people don't like this. I have wished the FourHorsemen and Mattel would do this for years. I have stuck with MOTU since the second sub and have been mostly happy. When it's awesome it's awesome. I love Thundercats way more than MOTU so does Lion-O look bulky? Sure is it a small price for a little consistency between lines? Yes. I pray to a shrine of Bandai robots everyday of my life BUT they totally dropped the Thundercats ball, Thank you Mattel now if you give me a Thundertank.... Also if you threw in a Silverhawks sub too no complaints roid 'em out and everything totally cool.

I like Jackelman and I like the body sculpt of Lion-o, but Lion-o's head is a little overdone. He looks like a make-up artist went nuts on the eye brows. They need to bring in the design of the head but I am already shutting off my collecting of Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe and Comic figures to get ready for this collectors club subscription. I freaking loved ThunderCats since I was a kid and own all of the original series shows and newest series. My Wife and Daughter even like them as well. I know I will have to get two each of Cheetara and the twins for sure because my daughter will want some to put in her room for display.

I've got the Bandai Thundercats line figures, and the classic Lion-O in that line seems way more accurate (MOTUC styling aside). Mattel's Lion-O needs a serious eyebrow waxing... lol.
That being said, if Mattel pulls out 6-inch scale Wilykit and Wilykat figures, I'm in for those.

im not getting where the "too bulky" complaints are coming from when the character is supposed to be big. the only thing I hope they change are those lou ferrigno hulk eyebrows..
