Here are the newly revealed figures in the Hasbro Star Wars case at San Diego Comic-Con 2015. Included are:
Black Series 6″ Scale
- Force Awakens First Order Stormtrooper
- Jango Fett
- Force Awakens TIE Fighter Pilot with TIE Fighter
- Ahsoka Tano
- Kanan Jarrus
Rebels 3.75″ Scale
- New Inquisitor
There was also a really cool diorama depicting a massive battle using the new The force Awakens figures.

With the spotty distribution lately, I had assumed that Hasbro had given up on the Rebels line.
Nice to see that we're getting a 3 3/4" Rebels figure of Ahsoka.
Hope we see 6-inch ANH Luke,Obi and Leia soon.

It's a long time since any new Star Wars stuff appeared on local shelves. The back-log at West Coast ports after the strike must have been incredible.

Note the continued focus on the new "First Order" Stormtrooper. (Lest we forget, a 6" adult-version Ahsoka is also in the works for the Black Series.) Wonder if any surprise announcements are planned, especially considering the recent fan poll for new additions.
Great pics. I didn't like the new Trooper initially, but he's cool.
Rgds
The First Order stormtrooper does seem to be the preferred marketing image for the new movie. The new Star Wars app advertisements have him, the first store displays to show up (at FYE) have him, the Black Series and Hot Wheels SDCC exclusives are him, and the first Force Awakens merchandise being sold, at Disney Star Wars Weekends, were a t-shirt and pin featuring the First Order stormtrooper. If they hadn't already shown off the packaging design featuring Kylo Ren, I would have thought this stormtrooper was going to be on the boxes and cards too.
Speaking of which, will we be seeing any TFA toys on display at SDCC?
snooze, thanks for nothing Star Wars. there has been a trickling of Black Series and Saga Legends at my Targets. Usually less than a case per store, so it just looks like shit.
I have to say, here is where either HTS or BBTS has been able to fix my Black Series non-stock issues.
Then again, I can also be REALLY peeved that Walmart received their new case assortments and in some locations CLEARANCED them to $15 bucks. A friend picked up Palpatine and a Trooper Han for that price each. It's not that they were on deal. It's that Walmart didn't even bother to put them in the right place, just treated them like Bantha poodoo and shoved them in the wrong place. Targets have been lackluster as well, although the Tauntaun sets are just starting to hit market, if you're lucky.
TRU also hasn't been really on top of it either. Just hit or miss. The only ones that have any kind of stocking to speak of is Walgreens. Which is sad.
Also sad, no word of 2016 Black Series. No recase assortments for Bossk, Yoda, or anything. Looks like at least the smaller figures might see some light of day. I just feel like it's the same story. The retailers purchased too much of one wave, got sold out of the figures everyone wanted and we're left with a b-ton of ObiWans aka BumbleJedi clogging the shelves.

is ahsoka going to be a 6" or 3 3/4"? either way i'm getting her...
Not crazy about Luke's fabric tunic, and Jango always did leave me cold, but overall the new 6" Black Series wave is looking like the best yet.
Jango's holster looks like it's going to be a problem. If I was the designer, I'd integrate the portion of the strap that falls over his codpiece DIRECTLY INTO THE CODPIECE and leave the loose parts on the outside of his thighs.
thanks. i was going to get the 3 3/4 since that's what i prefer but 5 poa sucks. plus i just saw the other post about them actually starting to make the rebels in 6 inch so i will start the sw black series with ahsoka...
wait. that tie fighter is in the 6" scale? holy hell, that thing is going to be huge.
two of those and a piece of glass for the top and instant star wars coffee table.
The ship may be well done, but I sure don't want that big thing in my living room. The vast majority of collectors are going to have zero interest in a ship of that size. I'll be disappointed if the pilot only comes bundled with the ship. More likely, the pilot will be re-issued separately at some later date, maybe with variants and new accessories. One can hope. I like this pilot design better than the existing TIE pilot. This guy seems better proportioned.
Didn't Hasbro mention, a few months ago, that they have a big midnight release celebration planned for their Force Awakens figures and merch in September?
With that being only a couple of months away, I'm curious as to why Hasbro is still keeping figures of the cast of The Force Awakens tightly under wraps.
I'm assuming that it's okay if I link directly to the manufacturer's PR news release:
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Products to Arrive on ‘Force Friday,’ September 4
I read elsewhere that Lucasfilm is deliberately keeping a tight lid on product releases so as to integrate new product announcements into the overall communications plan, thus controlling flow of information and preventing unwanted spoilers. Makes sense, but sounds like a big job, with so many licences and manufacturers involved.

There's a D23 Expo in mid-August (basically the Disney convention) but that's not a place they traditionally do toy reveals. So either they're releasing stuff via other media or they really are keeping this stuff hidden until release.
It's funny though, they say it's to avoid spoilers...but all those spoilers will be out there as soon as the stuff is released nearly three months ahead of the movie.
Yeah, I guess the point is: "If there must be spoilers, make them our spoilers."
It's interesting to watch the same enhanced control and manipulation in other areas of our culture. Some children can be sharp and learn quickly to spot holes in authorized narratives, but many people tend to just accept whatever is fed to them, rendering them vulnerable to marketers with ulterior motives.
