iZombie Liv Moore Select Figure Revealed

Posted on July 2, 2015 at 9:15 am by Joe Moore under DC Toy News

Diamond Select Toys teamed up with Entertainment Weekly to reveal a new license; iZombie. Based on the hit new CW TV show, DST is releasing a Liv Moore Select 7″ Figure. Liv is only the first in the series, as the article states that we will see more characters in the future. The figure will include an interchangeable hand with chopsticks, a metal pipe, a coffee cup, hot sauce, and a brain meal. Pre-orders kick off later this month.

Looks good. Definitely a figure I'll be getting. Thouh I kinda hope they change the color of her hoodie to match the purple one she wears. Also, since she doesn't seem to come with a display base of any kind, I hope she doesn't cost as much as the Gotham figures.

Hopefully Ravi and Clive look good. They're the only other characters I would care to get.

She needs an alternate zombie head, with red eyes and open mouth.

Wouldn't surprise me if that's included as the hands seem to indicate "Zombie Mode".

I believe Diamond said that the Zombie head version will be a Toys r Us exclusive version.

    Update from Diamond on Facebok:

Diamond Select Toys: No, TRU will have this same figure, not the zombie version. Same accessories, same packaging. The full-on zombie version will be offered at a future date.

The packaging looks nice... but seems rather cheaper than what DST usually uses for their Select figures. Definitely a figure I'm still planning on getting, even though I doubt they'll make anyone else from the show.

I imagine the full-on zombie version of Liv will be a convention exclusive. Probably for SDCC next year.

Well for a Select figure it looks like she gets a stand instead of a diorama base. Plus a hand full (no pun intended) of accessories. I guess it is a trade off, a big base like the Gotham figures vs little accessories. I just hop e she looks ok in mass production. The Jim Gordon figure looks terrible in person.

I kind of want her to hang out with the Riddler and his desk when the Select series 2 figures come out for Gotham.

Good points, I'm just not used to seeing a DST figure like this in such simplistic packaging. I do appreciate them giving her several accessories, especially the stand. Though I have to admit, I'm not sure what the black stick is supposed to be...

Edit: Nevermind... was re-reading the original announcement... it's a pipe...

Also, I forgot that they said there would be other figures down the line. Would be great, but I still think Liv and FOZ Live could still be it for this series. Since Live is comin out on her own, the possibility of future figures could depend on how well she sells.

That would be cool. Though I'm not sure if DST got the rights to do comic-based iZombie figures in-addition to the show rights.

Speaking of which, has there been any hint as to who will be doing the inevitable Supergirl figures? I'm assuming DST will, but I kinda hope that's one license DCC is able to cover figure-wise.

That was the pipe from the episode where she saved Ravi from the zombie in the whole. It wasn't even a full on zombie, it was just a straight up apocalypse Walking Dead type of zombie.
