Yeesh the ab-crunch kills that Batman. I hope there's at least some decent 3.75 stuff to come out of this.

The Batmobile looks cool at least. Is the grey block thing supposed to be like it's coming out of the ground in the Batcave?

Bleh! Yuck! These 6" figures look horrible! DC needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Collectors need better figures than this. You imagine if NECA or DCC made these instead?

But...but it says "adult collector" in the top corner of the box.

Since I'm one of the few that liked MOS and just ignored the toys, I'm hoping that this will be a repeat.

I'm not a fan of cloth capes myself. Superman looks fine but if I'm not mistaken it's just a repack of the MoS Movie Masters correct?

The figures actually look fine to me. Batman's ab crunch is a little dramatic, but other than that they look good. I don't know why people are expecting NECA and DCC level stuff from Mattel.

I would feel awkward buying it, but I kinda want the Barbie Wonder Woman. I kinda hope this means there is a Harley Barbie in the works as well. I guess I could always argue that they're cheap alternatives to the 1/6th scale figures?... maybe?

The Hot Wheels Batmobile is something I'll definitely get. Though I still hope Mattel makes one that looks pretty good.

There are some minor alterations. Nothing major, but definitely ot just a repack.

There is definitely at least a new head on Superman, the hair is shorter than the Man of Steel Movie Master. I like the figures enough, but I think I will wait for the retail versions, hopefully with rubber capes.

The Wonder Woman Barbie, and Hot Wheels Batmobile look fine. Not something I would buy, but I can't knock either one for what they are.

I honestly can't say I'm too disappointed in the Batman V Superman 6" figures either. When it comes to Mattel "adult collector" based figures, I have VERY low expectations. The Movie Master Figures have always looked pretty bad, and I feel like these are just more of the same. Mattel really needs to ditch the DCUC gaping crotch-pit design. It look's terrible, and it's ineffective for posing figures. I'm also not a big fan of those cheapie looking cloth capes, I prefer nicely sculpted capes on my superheroes. Not sure which looks worse, these cloth capes, or those tiny derpy ones on the Movie Master Dark Knight Batman figures.

Maybe these are just really bad pictures though, they honestly do look a tad bit better in box. Here's hoping the single carded figures (if they exist) will AT LEAST have some type of proper sculpted cape. It's a damn shame we probably wont get movie figures in the DC Collectibles DC Icons Series, those would look right at home with my Marvel Legends movie Avengers display.

You made me snort my coffee. Those figures are grim.

This movie should have the potential to be a blockbuster, but I'm concerned, as something has felt 'off' from square one. The SuperBat logo is meh. The teaser trailer was meh. Batman's armor looks meh: given the marketing success of all those gorgeous Iron Man armors over the last few years, you would think DC would be highly, highly motivated to produce something flashy and impressive. At very least, I would expect something like the armor in Alex Ross's Kingdom Come. Frankly, I sense that people in decision-making positions are under pressure and/or don't give a s___. Let's hope for much better things to come, and we aren't about to witness another disaster like Green Lantern.

It's the armored suit from The Dark Knight Returns. It was about as far from flashy as you can get.

Collectors ARE going to get better figures...from guys like Hot Toys and DC Collectibles.

And NECA or DCC 2 packs probably aren't going to retail for $30

So did a BUNCH of Batman and Star Trek stuff in the 90s, doesn't negate the fact they are made by a toy company, meant to be sold as toys, likely in retailers' toy departments, adhering to safety requirements for kids toys.

I kind of get the feeling that, just as in the 90s, the "adult collector" tag is nothing more than a gimmick to make adults feel "justified" in buying a kids toy, or to trick less knowledged people into thinking it's a high end collectible (it's not, nothing from Mattel at mass retail will be).

Actually, in terms of sales volume and raw revenue, Mattel actually makes more than Hasbro (though, they aren't really PROFITING from all that at the moment). But they aren't going to copy Hasbro figure engineering for a simple fact: they want their product to be visually distinctive from what Hasbro is producing. The whole corporate/brand identity thing.

Um, have you SEEN the stuff Mattel's produced for the last 3 major DC films? I would not expect to see any change from that (meaning, 5 POA, lots of Superman and Batman variants, no women or minor characters)

As far as this...eh. I'm still cautious on the film itself, and given prior trends, I'd probably be just fine snagging a 5 POA 3.75 figure for $7 than I am spending $15+ on one of their Movie Masters offerings. But I can't muster much fuss since Mattel is clearly going to follow the same playbook they have for the past 5 years or so.

Yeah, I see your point. But realistically, a suit of armor designed for a fight with Superman should be loaded to the gills with technology, if for no other reason than to absorb physical blows without turning its wearer into jelly. (Why is part of his face still exposed?! Dumb!) Regardless, I just won't feel especially motivated to purchase something that looks like it's made out of trash can lids.

It's accurate and as far as DC movies go that's a pretty big step forward in my book. And while I've only skimmed through the book I watch the 2-part movie and it did have some hidden tricks up those bulky sleeves.

I have. Used to have the MoS Superman until I got the Injustice figure. I've also seen (and own a lot of) the Multiverse figures that have come out since. They're awesome and seem pretty successful. I was hoping they'd make figures from the movie in the same way. Guess it's too much to hope for.
