New images have surfaced of what looks to be an upcoming SDCC 2015 Star Wars The Force Awakens Storm Trooper Exclusive. The new images show off a Star Wars Black Series packaging style that looks to be above and beyond a mass retail release. No further information is available at this time but check back later on in the day to see if Hasbro releases official images and information.

Star Wars The Force Awakens Potential SDCC 2015 Black Series Storm Trooper Exclusive - The Toyark - News
Soooo, what is special about the trooper?? Looks pretty normal to me and I can not imaging they would not have a mass retail version of a trooper. The Evolution of the Stormtrooper line has me thinking this is part of a set??? perhaps with a McQuarrie style trooper??? Guess we will see.
Well Boba Fett was the first SDCC Black Series exclusive, the only difference between that one and the regular release was the packaging and the Han in carbonite accessory. Then with Jabba again all that was exclusive was his hookah and Salacious Crumb, and of course the packaging. I totally see this year's exclusive being yet another minimal effort job.
Not worth going apeshit over.
It says "evolution of the stormtrooper". Could there be more to this??
I'll stick with the original iconic design. I just like it better.
This is most likely an SDCC 2015 exclusive. They did say they had Force Awkens exclusive(s) for SDCC. There will also likely be a retail version minus something or maybe that something is special packaging.
Lol, I'm actually cool with "lazy" exclusives like this.
Personally, I like the idea of exclusives like this Stormtrooper, and Hasbro's previous SDCC SW Black offerings, where the figure is eventually easily available to us all, but those who are able to attend SDCC, as well as the completists who have the disposable income to pick one up on the secondary market, have the opportunity to own something a little different or extra.
I strongly prefer that over Hasbro's approach to their SDCC Marvel Legends exclusives. Last year, I was so angry that, after waiting so long for Medusa and a decent Black Bolt, my only option to obtain these figures was to pay exorbitant prices on the secondary market.
In the photos the armour looks dirty, maybe the retail version is clean.

This figure is pretty sweet. I like the packaging also. But as an exclusive think they should have went with a sith lord.
