With the release date of the Pacific Rim 18″ Striker Eureka Figure fast approaching, NECA has released a few new photos. The figure, which was created using the official digital files from ILM, hits store shelves next week. It is a fully articulated design with a mix of blue and red LED lights in the head and chest (batteries included). The figure comes packaged in a collector friendly window box.

NECA Previews 18-Inch Tall Pacific Rim Striker Eureka Figure

These things are so cool. You know I would love to see NECA do Transformers this scale, and I would be perfectly fine with a 18 inch non-transforming G1 Prime and Megatron. They would fit perfectly in a 1/12th action figure display.
will this do very craptastic they made batman, vade, strom troopers, bumblebee, drift superman

I just wish NECA was better at articulation. The joints are very limited, even at the 18" size. That and their signature reliance on that hard rubber is a pain. No way to crack it open to customize it.
Now what I *REALLY* wish would happen is for Bandai to get the model kit license to pump out Gundam-level engineering with detailed inner frames. Something in the 8-10 inch tall range. They know how to do articulation.
Figures stand roughly 6" - 8" tall and are created directly from the digital files used by ILM in the making of the movie

I was never a fan of the paint quality in Neca's Pacific Rim line. It never seemed up to par with their Other releases. Maybe this one will be different.
