Diamond Select Toys’ Zach Oat has a cool video preview for the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron Minimates. There will be two assortments of figures. One assortment for Toys “R” Us and one for comic and specialty shops. The comic shop assortment hits this week, while the TRU assortment will be shipping soon. Here’s the breakdown of what to expect:

The other figures look good, but they kinda dropped the ball on Ultron. Shame, since the comic-based Ultron Minimate from back in the day was amazingly good.
totally buying a case…
I had these on preorder from BBTS and cancelled them as soon as I saw this. The fact that they reuses the Mk.42 shoulders and chest piece are a deal-breaker for me on the Iron Man. That was a terribly designed set of parts and really limits the articulation. Ultron doesn't look good either, and if my favorite hero and supervillain don't look good, I figure what's the point?
The other figures DO look good though. It's just what would've been my centerpieces didn't turn out as well as I hoped.
