High Resolution Star Wars Rebels Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader Image

Posted on March 4, 2015 at 2:32 pm by Joe Moore under Star Wars Toy News

Hasbro has released a very high resolution image of the Star Wars Rebels Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader Figures. These 3.75″ figures are scheduled for an April release. While these are 5 points of articulation figures, the large image shows that the sculpts are quite detailed. To see the full resolution version, please save the image, or right click and select “View Image”.

Read on to check it out.

Can't tell you how excited I was to have this spoiled for me as I scrolled down the main page.

Vader looked a bit weird in the show, but that fig looks pretty sharp. Even for 5 poa.

Right there with you! I was like, "Oh look! An Ahsoka figure? Is that Black Series for something? Oh it's... Rebels? Curse you, spoilers!"

Sorry guys. didn't mean to ruin anything for people. Once it made it to USA Today, there's wasn't much point in keeping it "secret" on our end. As I was writing this, my Twitter feed lit up with "SW Rebels Ahsoka..." headlines. Cat was out of the bag. Again, sorry.

I watched the episode, so I wasn't surprised to see this. Delighted, yes! An Ahsoka figure, I am very excited for...

    "3.75"

Sculpts look nice, at least. I like her design in the show, I dunno how far the "Black" series plans to go outside the movies, but I'd definitely enjoy owning an Ahsoka from the line. If someone as insignificant as Greedo can get a figure in the series, I don't see why a character as beloved as Ahsoka cannot!

You did right Joe.... it wasnt a spoiler at that point. Also, I like that Vader. I guess I should get used to 5 POA as it is where my line is most likely heading. For what theses are though, they are nice.

Ahsoka NEEDS to be made for the Black Series. It would be a huge fan service to us if Hasbro would release her, and take a bite out of all those scalpers who are poaching her for 100 bucks and up, the way they were with Starkiller and Malgus before their re-release.

That's a really nice sculpt for a 5poa figure on both of them. Wonder how that Ahsoka head would look swapped on the original CW figures?

I also want them to re-release the figures that were rarely released in the Vintage line. In my area the Phantom Menace wave killed the line completely. I never got Malgus or Bastila until the Black Series re-released them, and I still kind of want the Shae Vizla figure. I never saw any wave past that damned Phantom Menace wave.

The above was also true of my area. It was like the toy wave of death. This damn series is going to force me to buy these 5 poa figures because I love the show so much. ahhhhhhhhhhh

Isn't Ashoka supposed to be dead?

And has Vader shown up beyond the first scene of the first episode? The last one I saw was the Empire Day two parter.

I haven't even started Rebels yet, but the way Ahsoka exited TCW allowed her to survive order 66 since she left the Jedi order.

Just noticed this...but are those lightsabers painted instead of the colored, clear, plastic sabers that have been the standard since the POTF line? Hope that's for a prototype shot, because if solid colored plastic is the route they are going from here on out, that is kind of a bummer. Not even the current Rebels figures have sabers like that, and they are already an economy line as is.

It is also possible that since Ahsoka left the Jedi order before attaining Jedi status, she was not considered such and thus was never made a priority to hunt down and persecute the way the other Jedi were. She could have been simply regarded as a force sensitive being to be hunted down when the time permitted, the way Vader and his inquisitors did in various Star Wars canon such as "The Force Unleashed."

Ahsoka's return also has me wondering, will we see the return eventually of Bariss Ofee, who had turned to the dark side and had a heavy hand in Ahsoka's change of heart towards the Jedi? Would make for an interesting episode should their paths cross again.

Additionally as a non-Jedi there would have been no clone soldiers around her to execute order 66, and maybe Vader chose not to send anyone her way. I would like Rebels to make a reference or tie-in to TFU because that was the best, most official trilogy bridge before Disney declared "only the movies and NEW stuff are canon." Most of the EU I don't mind being non-canon, my favorite EU stuff was KOTOR and that's barely connected to the whole mythos anyway.

The figure looks okay, but it looks younger than it should. The face looks like it did at the end of the Clone Wars, but does not match the Rebels model.

She did? I couldn't get into CW, so I stopped watching it during its second season.

So....per Disney the Clone Wars series never happened. But Ahsoka is cannon now?

  22. Trivial Psychic's Avatar Trivial Psychic says

    03-05-2015, 10:24 AM

Actually, per Disney, both sets of trilogies, the CW movie, and CW TV series are considered Star Wars canon. Anything else from the past such as the video games (The Force Unleashed for example), and novels now fall under a new brand, called Star Wars Legends, and are not officially canon material.

Outside of that, the only new canon material being produced right now is Rebels and the ongoing Marvel Comic series, as well as the next series of films. All material produced from here on out will have to run through a committee at Lucasfilm for approval to integrate into the universe, otherwise it immediately falls under the SW Legends banner.

No, the Clone Wars remains. It is the novels and comics published previous to the novel "A New Dawn" that are not canonical. The one exception being the comic miniseries Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir, because it adapted an unused Clone Wars script.

There are also already a handful of canon novels: A New Dawn, Tarkin, and Heir to the Jedi, with a few more already announced.

Don't be that way! I'm sure you'll be able to get them off ebay for $40.
