Very cool! I like that mirage turtles box set. Hopefully we'll see some more classic Eastman & Laird characters.
Phantasm bust! Crazy! Am I dreaming? Never thought I'd even see this character again. I must have this bust

Those are decent likenesses of younger Dan Akroyd and Ernie Hudson as Ghostbusters. No small figure of Slimer? My preference would be less articulation in the interest of better overall appearance, but these seem intended more for play than display. A younger audience will probably jump on them.

Anecdotally, I learned recently that a cinematic reboot of Ghostbusters is coming soon, with an all-female cast for some reason. At very least, I hope they offer cameos for some of the characters who gave the original film its charm.

So much cool stuff here ! Where do I begin ?!?

I'm digging that Cassie Hack statue. I can't wait to see pics of it up close.

I'm impressed by the Ghostbusters figures too. They look good so far, except for Ernie Hudson's questionable likeness.
I always felt as if Mattel kinda did a half-assed job with their Ghostbusters figures, so I hope that Diamond doesn't repeat Mattel's mistakes.

I'm also kinda digging the JLU and Batman TAS statues as well ! All those Bruce Timm designs in statue form is a beautiful sight.
That Supergirl statue is gonna be a must-buy for me. I love the animated Timm-verse Kara In-Ze version of Supergirl FAR more than the pre-New 52 Kara Zor-El version of the character that Jeph Loeb relaunched 10 years ago.
However, it eems odd that DC would license these to Diamond when they could easily do them in-house through DC Collectibles.

Well. I expected the Star Trek offerings to be virtually nothing new considering the past couple of Toy Fairs. Glad to see I was partly wrong. While the Enterprise-A and Excelsior(possibly the NX-2000?) aren't new, I do notice an Enterprise NX-01, which hasn't been in production for years, and a new Romulan Bird of Prey from The Original Series! Kinda disappointed at no USS Defiant, but at least they are still making new ships.

Also, two different Star Trek III phasers for some reason. I wonder why. I also wonder if they'll do an Assault Phaser from V/VI at some point cause I think it'd be similar to the old Master Replicas one, just more affordable. And finally of note is the new TNG phaser!

If the NX-01 Enterprise is displayed, can we assume it's going back in production? Thought read somewhere they no longer had the mold. I ask as I've noticed Diamond loves displaying already-released product repeatedly. If so, then great! Missed that one years ago. Happy about the Enterprise-A to (mostly) finish off the Enterprise fleet, and a Romulan ship sounds cool.

Ghostbuster figures are fantastic. Aside from Ernie Hudson looking like Lando Calrissian, they'll be bought. Liking that they have lots of accessories, they look to be better than Mattel's.

My biggest disappointment is one of the things I was looking most forward to this Toy Fair; seeing Diamond's 1:15 Ecto-1. I've wanted a detailed, large Ecto-1 toy that wasn't a Hot Wheels 1:18 diecast for years, and while the car won't be in scale with their figures I can live with that. I know it's coming, but I really wanted to see it. Patience....I guess.

Since Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson have, for quite some time, been vocal about their desire for a third Ghostbusters movie to be made, I too hope that they have some sort of involvement. However, since Bill Murray has been stonewalling this sequel for years, his involvement is highly unlikely.
Lol, well unless he decides to step down from his high horse and find some time between Wes Anderson films.

But then again, he just made a movie with GB III cast member Melissa McCarthy, and spoke highly of her in interviews (especially concerning her role in GB III), so maybe she will persuade him to make an appearance.

really the only thing im digging on the Marvel Select line is Carnage, which i already preordered the end of last year.... i might consider that Ant-man other then that seems just like another year full of movie figures from MS. very disappointing.

I guess hasbro's Legends line will be getting my cash early this year.

Yeah, I got a late start on these Diamond Select Star Trek ships, so the fact that they are re-releasing the Enterprise-A and the Excelsior is excellent news.

Like many others, I would have liked to see more new ship announcements, but, lol, the delay of the release of any new ships isn't necessarily a bad thing for me, since it will give me some extra time to pick up the ships I missed before having to track down or pre-order new ones.

Can anyone here comment on the black plastic display stands for the Diamond Select starships? I understand that the design is improved or changed somehow and would appreciate any thoughts you may have. I'm particularly interested in the recently-released Captain Stiles Excelsior and the upcoming 1701-A Enterprise...

Just a heads-up. It's the U.S.S. Excelsior NX-2000, not Enterprise-B. Also, the mold was never lost for the NX-01 and yes it is going back into production. As far as the stands for Enterprise-A and NX Excelsior, they are the same. No changes. Unless of course the stands pictured are just placeholders, but I doubt it. The NX-01 is just propped up on something, so hopefully a new stand is in development. Of course this is DST so probably not.

Honestly, the stands are the only thing I don't like about Diamond's line of Star Trek ships.
The plastic beneath the area that connects to the ship is brittle and a little thin. The stands don't pivot much, nor do they move very freely, so when positioning the ships on their stands, you definitely have to exercise caution.

The Enterprise-D is pretty hefty and comes with two stands, and after obsessively repositioning mine (it just looks so great from a variety of angles ), and obsessing over having both stands be unachievably straight, lol, the weak part on the top of the rear stand began to develop stress lines and looked as if it might eventually break. I preemptively broke it and super-glued it, and the repair is virtually unnoticeable. Even if it were, the beauty of the ship completely diverts the eyes from the stands.

Don't let that deter you from picking any of these up. They look great, and with a little luck and caution, hopefully you won't have the same issue I had with the stands.

EDIT: Oh yeah, BTW, I bought my Enterprise-D from a comic shop in 2013, and I'm fairly certain that it was the re-released model. So, apparently, whatever improvements or changes that Diamond has made to the stands for this line didn't really improve their overall durability or quality. Well, at least for the Enterprise-D, anyways.

I don't know what I want to do at this point. I might even hang one or more ships, if it can be done nicely. All in good time. Much will depend on my success with the stands.

I have 3 DST ships, the first releases of the Wrath of Khan 1701 and the 1701-E and the HMS Bounty Bird of Prey. The stands for the Enterprises are pathetic to be honest.
