That Batman and Phantasm are so awesome! I've always been a fan. The Batmobile is really unexpected too. DCC has really had a good show this year. Bravo guys! I hope to see a Red Hood Jason Todd and BTAS Scarecrow somewhere down the road.

These DC Collectibles are just amazing! If only there was a way for them to do the movie figures as well.

Batmobile looks great even though I'll never own it. Animated Batman looks awesome, glad I preordered him! Those Designer Series Teen Titans look weird. Raven without her hood? Starfire WITH a hood? What madness is this?!

And those Arkham figures! The Arkham Knight Batman looks really awesome! And Origins' Lady Shiva! I was wanting her sooo bad. Only odd thing is that batch of Arkham Batmen grouped together. Why is the Arkham Asylum Batman the figure with blue highlights on his cowl and gloves and boots? Asylum's Batsuit was grey and black. City's Batsuit was the very dark blue with grey.

I need to figure out what that mask is that Scarecrow is holding. Does anyone know?

Those Teen Titans are based on this TPB:
TEEN TITANS EARTH ONE VOL. 1 | DC Comics

Maybe it's game relevant, either way I want to know more. Maybe, just spit ballin' here, but maybe he wears a mask before you actually meet him in game so that when Batman meets him he can be all (take off that mask)"look what you did to me Batman, yatta yatta..."

Pretty excited about all of these DC Collectibles, I'm glad that they've listened to the fans and are changing the materials used in manufacturing in order to make the figures more sturdy.

I can't help but get giddy about the DC Icon series. It's the DC, Marvel Legends equivalent I've always wanted. Being ACTION figures I dig the fact that these actually look articulated too! The designs are also pretty exciting to look at, especially compared to the generic crap Mattel brought out in DCUC.

I really hope the DC Icons series continues for years to come. Id love to get a John Stewart, and a more scruffy looking Aquaman. I'm actually surprised they haven't got a Wonder Woman ready. Shes part of the DC Trinity, but I'm sure we'll get her sooner than later.

Agreed, they look awesome. So far they look like the answer to Marvel Legends that DCUC never lived up to. I love the mixture of pre and post new 52, tthe alternate heads for Superman and Harley are awesome. I hope they tackle some of the figs that DC Superheroes did early on, like a comics style Bane, classic Darkseid, and a Damian Wayne Robin, with alternate heads (one hooded)!

DCUC never lived up to Marvel Legends? What are you talking about? The DCUC figures were superior to them. The Marvel Legends figures had weird proportions, bolts all over the place sticking out on them, and odd places of articulation. I loved how posseable they were, but their hands couldn't hold onto crap because of the articulated fingers, their thighs looked like balls that were attached to their waist, and the neck joints really detracted from their look.

It is pretty crazy comparing how smooth the new legends are versus the old ones, especially with Scarlet Witch.

The lesson: too much pose hurts the overall look.

You nailed it. I likewise try generally to unload and avoid figures that look like an assembly of mechanical parts, unless of course that's how the character is supposed to look.

I bought my fair share of DCUC, I'm not trashing them at all, but overall I felt Marvel Legends at their peak were better. Of course they got crappy for sure when switching to Hasbro and it took a long time to get back. I guess it would be more accurate to evaluate figure-by-figure, but I became more frustrated with DCUC as it went on. I think the change over to Mattel's website soured my feelings on the line overall. I agree with your point about ML unable to hold weapons though, especially Cable.

The DC Icons line is looking pretty good. It might be a longshot, but I hope Poison Ivy is in the future of this line. She'd look great with the extra details this line seems to be providing.

I love picking up various incarnations of certain characters like Batman, Superman and Flash, but I'm really hoping that Icons can help fill in some of the gaps in my DCUC Collection. An in-scale comic style Damien Wayne, Lex Luthor in a business suit, Commissioner Gordon, a Caucasian Poison Ivy and more Flash Rouges (just off the top of my head) would be great. They could Finally give fans the Jason Todd Red Hood that we've been wanting for years. The line has me excited about characters that we could potentially get. Also, it means cheaper alternatives to Hard-To-Find figures and a chance to replace figures that we were disappointed with. For Example, my Mad Love Harley Quinn is alright, but the Icons version looks like it's going to be much better. Finally, DC Collectibles knocked it out of the park with the Thrasher Suit Batman, so who's to say they couldn't do some Deluxe Oversized Icons figures to compliment the regular line. That way you could just buy a $35 - $40 Deluxe figure instead of buying a bunch of lame figures for their Collect N Connect parts. I know it's all just wishful thinking, but I think it could be good for collectors and profitable for DC Collectibles.
