The Toyark crew is out prepping for New York Toy Fair 2015. Our on site coverage team is heading up to the Big Apple today. As always, I’ll be your Toyark.com front man, sharing photos and coverage live as our crew provides it to me direct from the show floor and related events. Check back in Saturday at roughly 7AM EST, as we kick off our coverage with the LEGO Breakfast Event! After that, we’ll begin hitting booths and other planned events. Saturday afternoon also kicks off our massive Hasbro Event coverage, where we’ll be seeing plenty of new Star Wars, Transformers, Marvel, Kre-O and More.
Also, be sure to check our sister sites TFW2005.com, Hisstank.com, and Tokunation.com for their coverage of Transformers, GI Joe (if anything), Tokusatsu, and more. If you run another fan site, blog or personal page and want to share our photos, we just ask that you don’t remove our watermarks and link back to the original stories.
We’ll do our best to get additional info, but the hectic nature of the event doesn’t always allow it. So sit back, relax and enjoy. We’ll see you guys in less than 24 ours.
Ten Things To Look Forward To At Toy Fair 2015
Use this thread to talk about what you want to and hope to see at Toy Fair 2015.
The only thing I'm looking forward to is anything regarding the TMNT Classics line. We saw a proto for shredder and Android Krang last year, hopefully we'll see fully painted figures and possibly new stuff for the line.
It would be cool to see the TMNT Classic Collection continue. I thought they said something like it depends on the fan demand, if it continues or not? More figures are always a good thing though. Maybe, just maybe a regular version Karai as well?
The thing that bodes will for TMNT Classics is that they sell out during the holidays. Parents are buying them when they can't find the other versions.
I want to see:
1) The Diamond Select Ghostbusters figures on display. I have high hopes for them replacing my Mattel versions.
2) The finalized/painted version of their classic Shredder from Playmates
3) NECA figures: I am hoping for AVP Predators, and a finalized Aliens version Ripley. They love repainting RoboCop, but if they want to keep people excited about that license, I think a deluxe RoboCop Mk 2 figure is necessary. With a new Terminator movie this summer, it might be time to put out at least one Ultimate T-800 in the style of the Ultimate Freddy they just did. Fully articulated, alternate damaged head, multiple weapons.
4) Hopefully there will be additional movie Marvel Legends figures revealed, like Ultron and the Vision at least. Maybe as part of a future wave, or some sort of exclusive. After all, the whole set was exclusive to Walmart for the first Avengers movie. I’d also like to see at least an Ant-Man movie figure, and some decent 4” Age of Ultron stuff.
5) Jurassic World, we've seen a bunch of electronic dinos that are all the same size, but I want to see the basic line of human figures and dinosaurs scaled to them.
I'd like to see Mattel return the six inch Movie Masters line.

the ghostbusters being the most intriguing.
fingers crossed.
as for the avengers figures.. i want to be surprised.. but i KNOW hasbro is going to screw it up.. they're just so terrible at movie lines it's unbelievable. we'll see more comic characters and comic versions of characters than we will of characters that will actually appear in the film.
As always the only thing I care about are new Transformers. I hope to see the Gnaw figure they just confirmed would be released sometime in 2015.
I still want them to make updated versions of Misfire, Slugslinger, Triggerhappy, Darkwing, Dreadwind, Repugnus, Doublecross & Grotusque.
I dread seeing the new 3rd party stuff that I'll want but can't afford.
Oh yeah, 1 thing not related to Transformers that I want is the Play Arts Kai variant Catwoman. Hope to see more pics of her. I want to buy multiples of that figure to repaint & make an army of hot robot/cyborg babes.
I'm thrilled at the idea of Mezco becoming a contender again.
Their Hellboy figures, both comic and movie, but especially the comic ones, are some of my favorite figures EVER.
I need to see
--Funko Pop Series 2 featuring the Invisible Man. I cant imagine why he was left out of the first run.
--NECA releasing prometheus series 4 with elizabeth shaw? Yeah I know thats a pipe dream...
--A street date for Loyal Subjects Transformers Series 3. I need Hound!
--Star Wars Black Series to release some 6 inch scale ewoks. (3.75 battle for endor wont do)
--Seeing the new TMNT figures including Mondo Gecko!! Who is already in the new intro for a nanosecond.
--The Usual Marvel Legends dream list like Movie Version Nebula, Speedball, Dead Girl, Squirrel Girl, Kate Bishop Hawkeye, or any of the young avengers pretty much.
--to see what NECA has planned for Kidrobot.
I cant wait! XD
1. Playmates-TMNT Classic Collection Shredder and Krang. I hope they reveal other characters too. Casey Jones! April, Splinter, and a Foot soldier are definately needed.
2. NECA-Anything they make in 7" or that amazing Retro style will have my interest. Good luck topping that 1989 Batman though.
3. Mezco-Mortal Kombat!!! Also, 1:12 collective figures.
4. Funko-6" Rocketeer, Horror Minis Series 2, and Jaws!
5. DCC-Batman the Animated Series and Arkham Knight
6. Hasbro-Star Wars Black Series I really want a 6" Darth Nihulus
7. The Loyal Subjects-any new license for the mini figure line.
8. Kid Robot-what next for this company?
9. Mattel-is there anything left for adult collector's?
10. McFarlane-next Walking Dead Series
1: Mattel admit they were wrong about 4 Horsemen DC figures and Bring them back
2: Mattel to take a page out of Hasbro's Play book and combine Movie Masters with Standard Line
NECA: the Dark Horse Concrete Jungle Predator figure, more Genesis Predator 2 City Hunter showings, Gojira '54 again and hopefully a new Godzilla or two, Horizon Brave in color, more Kaiju from Pacific Rim, more classic video game appearance figures, maybe the ultimate Leatherface however far that'll be by now, and I also wanna know when I can get the BLU Engineer and Spy from TF2.
Hasbro: more on the Star Wars black series 6" line figures (new releases and better information on upcoming figures, come on Lando!), hopefully new Marvel 3.75" stuff, new Transformers generations that aren't these crappy combiner wars things, I want more Beast Wars upgrades like the ones we've recently gotten (hell I want a new line for just that), and maybe some new Marvel legends stuff too (like Ultron).
Funko: those legacy line Fallout figures they teased/announced that they'd be doing, and maybe some new legacy Magic figures
DST: a new upgraded Invisible Man for the Universal Monsters line.
DCC: more animated Batman figures, and clearer news on the Arkham Knight Scarecrow release.
Joe Moore's write-up at the top of this thread covers all the bases for me. My interests gibe with the others. Like everyone else here, I appreciate the photos, as I get to do all my browsing whilst sitting on my proverbial backside thousands of miles away.
I love surprises, so will be watching for interesting new robots or critters or action figures or gadgets or novelties or whatever. This IMO is one of the best parts of collecting. Toy shows are like a box of chocolates. You never know what yer gonna get!
INFO FOR ATTENDEES
I'm still hoping for Hobbit news from The Bridge Direct.
Retailers dropped the ball with Avengers, I hope Hasbro doesn't drop the ball with Age of Ultron.
I was hoping that Bridge Direct was going to release some Lord of the Rings figures, along with their Hobbit figures.
I got rid of my Toy Biz LotR collection after the soft plastic on far too many figures begin to "melt"
The only Star Wars figures I want to see are Lando and Leia from ANH. That is the only Leia left to not get a super articulated figre, and Lando is way past overdue.
Once again ...nothing to exciting ...plus What really will show up at Cdn retail ????
I've got a quite a list brewing to be honest. Pretty pumped for the things I know, but also for the things I know I don't know. Ya know?
Transformers is a huge one as that is what I predominantly collect. Curious to see more of the new RID toys and see hopefully more Decepticons get made. Especially pumped for Generations toys; Titan Devastator, Protectobots, and I hear a possible Computron which would be grand. Whatever else TF for surprises or updates will be sweet. I expect a chunk of new Legends, Deluxes, and Voyagers or at least enough for next half year. Platinum Edition G1 reissues are up my alley, I heard there will be a Trypticon. Also curious if that Ori Toys Optimus Prime thing teased a bit back will get mentioned or shown.
Really interested in seeing where Star Wars Black Series goes. More Deluxe figures hopefully, and I'm crossing my fingers at some point they'll throw their hat more-so into vehicles; be sweet to get a landspeeder or a Snowspeeder (not X-Wing huge at least) someday.
Also interested in more Marvel Legends, see where that goes. Hoping for a M.A.S.K. reveal. New TMNT, especially Classics....I believe there was teasing of a Party Wagon. Curious what Mattel will be up to...see new MOTU Classics and where their DC lines are going, like hpefully new Multiverse figures. While I like their Arkham stuff I wish they'd keep expanding into other DC eras and movies. Also, some 3 3/4" vehicles like their Arkham City Batmobile always has me holding out hope. But now I'm pipe-dreamin'.
Will be interested to see what NECA will be up to, I am hoping for a powerloader suit for their Ripley figure, also they were teasing about some new property people will apparently lose their shit over. Hopefully Funko has some cool Legacy figures & ReAction ones too.
And whatever else grabs my fancy I suppose!

Obviously the Summer 2014 release was super inaccurate.
