More News From Nuremberg Toy Fair

Posted on January 29, 2015 at 7:51 pm by Joe Moore under Lego Toy News, Marvel Toy News, Simpsons Toy News, Star Wars Toy News, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toy News, Toy Fair, Video Game Toy News

New forum member Marvelous (who had supplied some great info to our sister site TFW2005.com) attended Toy Fair in Germany. She was kind enough to give a bit of info from Nuremberg Toy Fair 2015. Here’s what she had to say:

Jurassic World
A few Dinosaurs were shown. They have fleshwounds like the JP1 toys. Also, there is a playset including the gate, fences but sadly no building like the JP1 version.
No D-Rex (Or what it´s called now)
Also no human figures.

No word on G.I. Joe, but they tried to dodge this question, so who knows.
M.A.S.K. will come back in the near future!
Star Wars EP7 Toys were on shelf, but to hot to talk about, since Disney ist very overprotective.

Marvel:
Titans (If I remember the name correctly, I mean those 5 POA 12 inch fuglys) Hulkbuster, can fit the Iron Man Mark 43 inside.
Playsets for the smaller AOU figures (2 Inch I guess)
Recent Legends Infinite series (Avengers Odin BAF, Spider-Man) but also a single Ant-Man from the rumored series. Looks good, also a 3,75 inch version with giant winged ant to ride on in Legends Infinite style packaging.

Star Wars will join the Mashers line

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were present, but only already known stuff, since Stadlebauer distributes the line in German-speaking regions.

NECA was there, but only a small rather disappointing booth with no new figures as far as I can tell.

Lego:
Scooby Doh
4 Sets
Haunted House
Mystery Machine
Tomb of the Mummy
Lighthouse
Every set comes with a hidden treasure and a monster, which when the mask is removed, reveils the disguised person inside.

Marvel Superheroes
Already known AOU Sets
Ant-Man “Final Battle” set with a big spoiler! Includes Scott Lang/Ant-Man, a giant winged ant, the movies foe (Not Yellowjacket, according to the set!) and surprisingly oversized Lego bricks, which looked really great compared to the ant and minifigs.

Simpsons
Minifig wave 2 teased, no minifigs/sets at the show

Minecraft
4 new Sets
Netherkeep with Ghast
Monster Spawner
Village
Hut in the snow

Jurassic World
Already leaked sets were shown. No D-Rex (Again *sigh*)

Star Wars
Tydirium shuttle
Death Star final battle

Hero Factory like action figures:
Luke Skywalker (Jedi)
Darth Vader
Jango Fett
Commander Cody
Clone Wars Obi-Wan
General Grieveous (really impressive and big!)

Unless I'm mistaken, this is a known fan-made photoshop.

See anything DC related? Either from Mattel or DC Collectibles?

    Anything Star Trek related?

I´m not that into Jurassic World, so thanks for the info.

We had no appointment for Mattel, so we had no chance to walk around the booth.
DC Collectibles didn´t attend the fair, as far as I know.

Well that kinda sucks. Did at least Lego have something DC related to show off?

Being a small division of DC comics, I wasn't sure they would be there, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask anyways.

Thanks for the info. Just for the record, Hasbro will not have The Force Awakens on display during Toy Fair. They hold a private event off site and have already told those attending that they will not be showing any Episode 7 toys that weekend.

    Thanks for the info!

Wasn't expecting anything new, just wanted to know if they had them represented or not.

Were both the Ant-Man figures you mentioned based on the movie? or was one of them based on the comics? The 3-3/4" one riding the flying ant sounds awesome, so I'm really hoping that it's based on his movie design.

Did the Ant-Man set have a third figure?
also if Yellowjacket isn't the main foe who is?

Please keep spoilers hidden if you do share that info. Simply change the font color to Silver to hide it. Much appreciated.

The set consistet of two minifigs, Scott Lang as Ant-Man and Hank Pym, and also a "giant" winged ant.

Tried the silver color, but for me it is not working: Spoiler
I can still see the text.
How you have the word "Spoiler" in this post is perfect. Thanks.

Cool. We don't have an actual spoiler tag function on the site, so turning text silver is the closest we have.

Really. Was the "bad guy" in normal clothes or something else.

What was the set name? Did Ant-Man have interchanganle hair and helmet? Did the helmet have see through eye lenses?

The foe also had a suit like Ant-Man
Could not make out any interchangable things. Also I couldn´t make a good look at the box, since employees were all around. The set os calles "Final Battle"

Not further info on ML besides what I´ve told already.

I really appreciate this info! Thanks!

Was "the Guy" fighting Lang or did it look like there could be a third hidden figure. What colors where Pym's outfit?

Sorry if I'm asking too many ?'s. Just excited!!!
