Potential List of Star Wars The Force Awakens Toys and Figure Assortments
Nothing spoilery, no character names.
probably all going to be shitty little kid toys right?.. even though the people who are most excited for this movie/merchandise are older fans/collectors..
Didn't they say that Vader may be in a flashback? There you go, the reason that theres a Vader helmet. He's still dead, they're probably just reissuing a helmet since he's a flashback character or there's even the concept art leak of the fire scarred Helmet…….
The "Hero" assortments will probably be 2.5 inch figures like the recent Guardians of the Galaxy, which might make for a very cool assortment of ships in that scale.
We already know there'll be 6" Black Series figures, and I'm willing to bet there will be at least one assortment of fully-articulated 3.75" figures for the old school collectors. The "deluxe" vehicles might mean that we get a few that are up to the standards of a few years ago rather than the scaled-back versions we've gotten the last couple years.
There'll be plenty for collectors, but no...they're not going to be the main focus.
Also: I will have to fight to not buy any Star Wars mashers. They are kids toys, yes, but they're fun kids toys, and I kinda like their style.
I'll wait for the Lego offerings, I think.
These two items catch my eye:
- Star Wars 7 Remote Control Droid
- Star Wars 7 The Black Series Villain Helmet
I don't care for the rolling weeble in the new movie teaser trailer, but a new and improved remote-control astromech would be cool, if it's done well and nicely detailed. Same goes for the helmet, if it comes with a decent voice synthesizer.
The list definitely targets little kids. That doesn't necessarily suggest anything about the movie itself...
Personally, I'm excited that Hasbro is revisiting the Star Wars die-cast vehicle line. I really like the Titanium series (from nearly a decade ago), and in retrospect, I regret not buying as many as I should have back when they were still in stores.
Since these are listed as Black Series products, hopefully they'll be high-quality like their Titanium series predecessors.
If the new figures end up being disappointing, at least I'll have these to look forward to.
Did I overlook something, or is there seriously no mention of either the 6" or 3 3/4" Black Series figures ? Well, besides the intriguing news of that 6" Black Series Starfighter !
But anyways, like Joe Moore and Jmacq1 both pointed out, there have been leaked pics of a few new characters as 6" Black figures, so I'm surprised that there was practically no mention of the Black lines.
@Skoob- There were some photos leaked of supposed 6 inch Black Series prototypes from the new movie about three weeks ago.

There is a specific listing for a 6 inch vehicle though (Probably the "floating fudgesicle" speeder bike).
Sadly folks are less certain about the fate of the 3.75 inch black series, which many worry may get cancelled this year since it seems to be getting slowly phased out anyway.
Personally I think Hasbro will either give us at least a couple waves of "collector quality" Ep 7 figures in that scale (enough to cover the main characters and be able to say "we did them for you") or conversely they will have the main 3.75 inch assortment be more than 5 POA but perhaps a bit less than the level of articulation we've seen in the past. Basically some figs might not have wrist/ankle articulation (kind of like many of their Marvel movie offerings, which are less than "super-articulated" but more than 5 POA).
But yeah, there will totally be lots of 5 POA figs too. Probably that two pack assortment.

Micro Machines are returning? That is awesome. I hope they are not blown up to larger scale, I'd love them to match the originals.
Also, if Hasbro doesn't release any decent 3 3/4" figures from Ep. VII, or if I just don't like the new movie enough to buy those figures (I'm praying that isn't the case), that just means I'll have extra cash to spend on Micro Machines of ships from Episodes IV-VI
