Toyark sponsor Big Bad Toy Store has posted up pre-orders for Mezco’s Mortal Kombat X 6″ Scale Figures. Along with the pre-orders, we get some new details on the figures. Each will contain 23 points of articulation, and will include themed accessories. Mezco is packing them on collector friendly blister cards as well. Included are:
- Raiden
- Sub-Zero
- Scorpion
They are listed at $18.99 each with a release next May. You can pre-order them Here. Read on for a few new pics and more info.
Mortal Kombat X Raiden
Raiden, the eternal God of Thunder, is arguably one of the most powerful characters in all of Mortal Kombat, and just like each of the three figures in Mezco’s initial wave, is one of the few to be a playable character in every version of the game.
As befits an Elder God, Mezco’s 6inch scale version features 23 points of articulation, many with ball joints, allowing him to recreate all the moves and poses that have made him part of gaming legend.
To ensure a game accurate likeness, correct to the finest detail, Mezco’s award-winning design team has digitally sculpted the figures using the digital files from the game developers themselves.
Of course even a God of Thunder needs weapons and Raiden has them. He comes complete with game accurate alternate hands, alternate lightning hands, and a lightening ball.
Raiden comes in a collector friendly blister card perfect for display.
Mortal Kombat X Scorpion
Scorpion, the hell-spawned specter, inexorably seeking vengeance against those responsible for the destruction of his clan and the death of his own family, is one of the game’s most popular characters.

Of course all ninjas need weapons and Scorpion has them. He comes complete with his spear tipped wrist chains, as well as 2 game accurate swords. He also has an additional pair of fighting hands for even more game accurate poses.

Mortal Kombat X Sub-Zero
This icy assassin is one of the most cold-blooded of all Mortal Kombat characters , and just like each of the three figures in Mezco’s initial wave , is one of the few to be a playable character in every version of the game.

Mezco Details License For Mortal Kombat

Glad to know there will be more 3.75 MK figures. Looking forward to seeing what else they're offering but I'm still not sure if I want get any this time.
This is really great news! Jazwares did a horrible job with this license. The ideas were there, but the quality was very bad. They never even made female characters lol They just flat out sucked with the MK license. If I was Mezco, I wouldn't even look at what Jazwares made. Just start over. Most people passed on the Jazwares stuff anyway. I really hope we get a better deluxe version of Shao Kahn. I waited forever for a good figure of him, Jazwares screwed it up.
Call us if you get past the ninjas....
Hasbro failed. Jazzware failed, infinite concepts never released in mass market... Mk is a loser of a brand in the toy worlds. Hope Mezco had better luck, but I really doubt it.
3.75s! YES! Mezco's Hellboy line was my favorite ever in this scale! I hope this turns out just as good, if not better!
Hasbro released two series, and vehicles. It was never intended to go past the movie (like the Street Fighter line that Hasbro did, and that's a "winner" property).
Jazwares held the license from 2005 until last year. Almost 10 years. They may have sucked, but they obviously sold well enough for Jazwares, and Toys R' Us--in that Jazwares kept making them, and stores kept buying them. In what way are those fails?
Infinite Concepts collapsed on itself, but still had plans for a second series.
Palisades made a line of limited run statues.
Pop Shock Collectibles have been making statues and busts for some time...
So. Tell me again how MK is a "loser" license?

Infinite concepts planned wave 2 at the same time as wave one. Neither ever achieved mass release. A VERY small number was released to test markets, but IC died before they could secure mass release deal. I know, I constantly emailed them, and called local toy and comic stores every week for months when they were supposedly released.
Street fighter was far more successful than the mortal Kombat Hasbro toys. I saw those in 1995 when I was hardcore into MK, and I was one of the few that bought them all at retail. They ended up going on clearance a few weeks after release. No one wants toys based on those figures. Not in a mass market sense. Statues, made in very limited number, can sell. There are enough nerds to buy 2000 statues... Mass marketed toys need to sell 10 times that... And MK really doesn't have that pull for toys. The major selling point of the games is gore, which doesn't translate to mass market toys. Mommy isn't buying little jimmy a scorpion toy with removable spine.
You cannot possibly use any sales data from 1995. The market, target audience and the entire industry has turned over multiple times since then. What sold or didn't sell 20 years ago has no bearing on anything selling or not selling today.
How Jazwares handled the line (rather poorly in most peoples opinions) doesn't necessarily dictate how well all licensors will do with the franchise. We'll have to see how well Mezco handles the figures, distribution, and character selection before we can say their efforts resulted in success or failure. Also, Mezco is a bit more geared towrads adult purchasers than Jazwares. Jazwares is a company almost exclusively aimed at a young audience and their MK figures were a bit a departure from that.
Right?
...Nah, I'm joking, it isn't worth crap. At least I like looking at them.

What!? You mean my MOC "Party" Angela is worthless!?
I still need to pick up UMvC3. It has Dante AND Ghost Rider. That's my dream match/team-up right there.
Cleaned up the thread. There's no place here for baiting, trolling and insults.
Cannot wait for the 3.75" line! Hope they aren't ridiculously hard to find though!!!!
I e-mailed Mezco and told them how much I appreciated a 3.75 line. I haven't received a response nor do I really expect to... but I hope it reaches somebody there that they've made a decision that has made someone happy.

If the 4" Raiden comes with the extras I'll pick one up since I missed out on the MK9 Raiden. Other than that meh.
I hope they make a Sonya Blade.
I hope they make a Sonya Blade.
I hope there's an explanation of how Subs is a.) not a cyborg anymore and b.) not dead. It'll probably just end up being something along the lines of "uh...MAGIC F**K YOU!!!" like always though.
Any shots of the 3.75" figs out there yet?
these things look gorgeous.
the designs are rather awesome looking, the weapons look great, and most importantly, the molds look super solid.
i, like many others probably, was always a huge fan of the ninja's.. i'd love to get other versions of subzero and scorpion. i love seeing the evolution of their designs.. throw in reptile too.
