Sentinel Introduces Armorize Iron Man Figure

Posted on October 24, 2014 at 9:06 am by Joe Moore under Marvel Toy News

We previously got a glimpse of Sentinel’s Armorize Iron Man back in July. Back then, we only saw the unpainted prototype. Now Sentinel’s Blog has been updated with a ton of new shots and info for the upcoming figure. Armorize Iron Man stands 180MM tall (just over 7″) and will constructed in assorted plastics and a bit of diecast metal. The figure will allow fans to assemble the full armor over a base armored suit. It will feature loads of articulation, interchangeable hands, a masked and unmasked head as well as a figure stand. The unmasked Tony Stark head will also have moveable eyes.

Armorize Iron Man is due out in December. It’s priced at 11,800 Yen (about $109 USD). The photos can be seen after the jump.

Oh, that's very nice looking. 7" breaks my code....a shame too as that's a cool toy that I would normally want.

That is cool. I'm hoping it doesn't quite hit the 7" mark, and is compatible with Legends. Best non-RDJ Stark head ever.

7" seems ok for the added height and size wearing a suit of armor should give Tony. It's not his fault if some artists fail to depict that, lol. I agree the armor shouldn't add a full foot of height, maybe, but he should be at least 4 to 6" taller IMO (in the comics). The recent attempt Hasbro made with the Extremis armor left him tiny in comparison to Cap which is just way wrong to me.

As long as his actually Tony Stark head is in scale with Cap's I'm okay with him being taller in his armor to display in my ML scale

I'm really excited for this figure, but the price is kinda tough to swallow... he does make the ML version look like butt by comparison though

What's the point in having the armour come off?

Redx24 is right. Nothing impresses the ladies like a man in yellow long johns. And you need to be able to shed layers on hot summer days.

This is essentially a tribute to artist Adi Granov's design, yes? I hope he gets appropriate credit for it. The figure looks very nice. Wish the face looked less angry and resembled Downey just a little more, and the finish on the outer armor looks dull. That IMO is one thing Figma nailed: the Mark VII armor shines like a race car. But the articulation looks superb, and this seems like a more DURABLE toy. Anybody see a price? I can't read Japanese.

Edit: New listing at BBTS shows US$114.99.

I know, right!? but I guess back in the Toybiz days, it was more about quantity than quality of the joints. Bless 'em for setting the super articulated standard though!

To quote Iron Man 2: "A lot of people ask how I pee in this suit... that's how." Hahaha

This armor has nothing to do with the movies, so the likeness shouldn't resemble RDJ, and the armor shouldn't be shiny. Adi Granov, did design it, and he designed it exactly the way Sentinel designed this figure. It's actually incredibly impressive how it looks like it stepped right off one of Granov's covers.

I'm well aware. Re-read my note and you'll see that I already expressed appreciation for Granov's design. This looks like a terrific figure. The rest is a matter of opinion, so no need to get persnickety. Thanks for posting the covers. Rgds

I for one love it. I hope they do more Marvel Comics Verse characters. The only thing that looks really weird to me is Tony's "Golden Booby Pecs" without his chest plate. It looks more boob than pectoral.
