I am impressed with their ArtFX line. The Wolverine, Carnage, Supes, Bats, and Grievous look incredible. I'd love that Hulk too, but not a fan of the head sculpt.
Whoa loving that Jubilee, I think she may be the best one so far that they've made out of the entire Marvel line. Probably helps that she's Asian as well
I'm glad that the style they chose for this line is a closer approximation of the 'American comic' aesthetic. My only complaint is that Iron Man appears taller than Thor (or at least comparable)and his build is at least equal to that of Thor. When did that happen? I get that Tony wears armor, but his boots would have to have the equivalent of 3-4" soles. The other option would be a cavernous helmet...I like to nit pick.
God, why'd they have to make jubilee look like a whore? She's not poison from Final Fight!
Seriously, I understand that kotobukiya likes to make sexy-cute statues, but when it's of underage teenagers, it's just a biiiiiiit creepy.
The 'sexy underage' look seems to be popular in Japan. Look at the selection on Japanese toy websites. A lucrative market is being served, obviously.
I'm not a statue collector ordinarily, but those Star Wars ArtFX statues strike a chord. Vader would look great just standing by himself. I'm tempted.
This is the one, right? Rgds
