Mezco Announces New Line of Super Articulated 6-Inch Figures
This looks like the SDCC show stealer!!!
Not a huge fan of mego styled figures, but that Batman is flipping sweet! I can't wait to see the Judge Dredd! Hopefully they'll give us the movie and comic versions!
is that the Thomas Wayne Batman?? looks like it from the cartoon but hey its still a cool looking figure
That looks pretty sweet. Since they're starting off with a TDKR Batman, hopefully that means they have a Carrie Kelley in the works too. I doubt they will, but it would be cool to see some DC movie figures like this, like Batfleck.
I wouldn't be interested in a comic version, but I would be interested in a Carl Urban movie Dredd.
I don't know, the cloth doll thing kinda turns me off. I guess it work for those of you who had dolls like these back in the 70s. The 6" Mattel DKR Batman works for me though.
That looks terrible. This is why cloth clothing and capes do not work on 6 inch toys.
I don't know man, the cape on my mafex Batman looks pretty dang nice.
I'll admit the arms out poses have me a bit worried but I'm still excited by the other licenses like Dredd & Universal monsters. This fall will be the death of me.
These are freaking awesome. I'm not a big enough TDKR fan to plunk down cash for this despite how good it looks, but as soon as they show off a more standard Batman and a couple of sidekicks then I'm sure they'll have my money.
Oh damn....there goes the neighborhood!
i dont see the mego style people are refering to, i see this as being more a mini-hot toys rather than mego, anyways awesome figure and i would get the blue one with the rifle (since i assume they are variants and not intercheangeble accesories.
Don't know what you're seeing but this looks great. It may just be because it's a prototype so I'll be curious to see how good a production version looks but this looks as good to me as the 12 inch DC Direct stuff does...granted this prototype may actually BE 12 inches tall so, we'll see. Lord knows NECA hasn't exactly nailed the "Mego" style yet.
Assuming they do more iterations of Batman, I would kinda like to see them do a Hush Batman. That said, I kinda hope we see some new 52 designs at some point.

I wonder what kind of Judge Dredd will be made? 3A are making a comic inspired one. Planet Replicas is making a line of statues (based on classic Dredd artists) so have Mezco seen a gap in the market and are making Karl Urban Dredd?
Me, I'm curious. I'll be interested to see just how close the production figure looks to the prototype...I may not actually BUY them mind you as I'm not really interested in buying another scale where cloth replaces sculpting just so we can double the price. Sure, $30 is a far cry from $200 or $300 for a Hot Toys piece but when I can get fully detailed sculpting for $15, why buy the $30 just to get cloth? I only ever bought NECA's Evil Dead 2 offerings and THAT is only because it's Evil Dead.
I see some people complaining, not sure why....this blows ANYTHING Mattel has done out of the water,,,,,and MAYBE for these companies to step up.
THIS IS CALLED AN ACTION FIGURE GAME CHANGER!!!
LITERALLY GAME CHANGER!!!!
Six inch cloth action figures is the next logical step and I hope Mezco can carry the TOy Biz torch....since Toy BIz lost the legends license action figure evolution has stalled. We actually have gone backwards. Lost articulation, lost paint detailing and shading, lost finger and toe joints and lost REAL BAF's.
Not sure how people can claim nonsense like this is a bad thing. Only thing that worries me is, will DC allow them to do pre 52 stuff and movie figures and such....the ones fans actually care about?
Looks good, it's a game changer, viva la Mezco.
I'd really like to have these.
This is very good looking.
That being said, I already purchased enough Batman figures for this lifetime and probably the next, so I'll pass. But OTOH, I'll sure get anything Judge Dredd, comics version, Karl Urban Dredd, even a Stallone Dredd, yep!! And a Lawmaster bike please!!
One:12 Collective Batman New Images and Info - The Toyark - News

Pretty neat!
Mezco's approach to Frank Miller's Dark Knight seems more lighthearted and nostalgic than that taken previously by DC Collectibles. The new face sculpt looks more 'cranky' than 'furious.' The old solid-plastic DCC figure suffered from a deformed gimp leg, making the figure nearly impossible to stand, but its gritty facial expression was a ringer for Miller's angriest panel illustration. IMO, the new doll-like construction with better articulation and 'ornery' expression constitutes a superior homage. That said, I lean toward the blue version in the promotional prototype photos, so will wait for its release in order to compare and contrast the final products. Rgds
Bit out of my price range but I can't wait to see the Keaton version.
