Well, if you’re looking for Star Wars figures in every Japanese form factor, you’re getting them. Square Enix will do the Variants, Bandai will be doing S.H. Figuarts Kits and Statues, and Kaiyodo is doing up their hyper poseable Revoltech style. Today, Kaiyodo has revealed their Revoltech Vader in official product shots. Check them out after the break!

That Stormtrooper looks awesome.
The only thing I'm not digging is Vader's cape. Otherwise, these look really nice.
Thanks to Revoltech, we'll finally get a Threepio figure that can pull off dynamic poses just like in the movie.
Agreed re: vader's cape AND skirt, assuming they mean to create a poseable action figure and not just a statue. Use fabric, or just skip Vader entirely. The head sculpt seem a work in progress. Big plus would be translucent lenses.
Aside from that, the sculpts look very nice. I've been waiting for a C3P0 on this scale that has a really bright golden sheen. If they do that, then I'll definitely get that one, which of course means that I also have to get R2D2. LOL
I absolutely HATE fabric capes, and the cape and skirt on the 6" Black Series Vader is one of the worst examples of it. That being said...a soft plastic similar to what Square-Enix has done with some of their Play Arts line would suit well. This one isn't really selling me either. Which sucks, I would love a good Vader figure.
I know he's a main character but man they should really just pack in R2D2 with a figure as an accessory.
the figures look really thin to me, c3p0 though looks normal
thats a japanese toy thing, they seem to make big or muscly characters really slender, not sure if its aesthetics or to cover the cost of plastic, but look for example the dbz figuarts and some characters are thinner and smaller than their anime counterparts.
Hey, you're right! Vader and the stormtrooper look downright malnourished. Darn it! This spoils the figures for me. But at least Threepio seems more screen-accurate. I want that Threepio. <g>
Thinking again about Vader's cape, even rubber would work better, like the close-fitting rubber cape worn by DC Direct's Arkham Origins Batman. I definitely do not want solid, hard plastic. That's so 1980s. I want a Vader on this scale, but might hold out to see how this compares with Medicom MAFEX Vader. Rgds

Thanks for pointing out SH Figuarts. I just checked out the stormtrooper prototype, and to me it looks just superb. I'm ordered two of those to serve as escort for the best version of Vader. I see the Figuarts Vader has the rubber cape I imagined. It could work, or it might not. I'll wait for more photos. But the trooper: definitely. THANKS!

At least if a 6" Black Series Threepio doesn't come out yet, we have this one!
That panel and gap setup they're calling a cape looks utterly ridiculous.
That cape! Yikes! What's going on with that? Revoltech is hit or miss IMO. I imagine he's in that weird 4.5-5" scale too?
A cosplayer with a sense of humor could get some laughs by parodying that cape with some interlocking pieces of plywood. Hahaha
Can't wait for S.H. Figuarts!
Star Wars Revoltech C-3PO - The Toyark - News

It looks very good, better than anything seen previously on a similar scale, but stylized in the same fashion as Vader and the Stormtrooper. I'm too fussy about screen accuracy. And I'd like the option of having both legs bright, shiny gold.
Star Wars Revoltech R2-D2 - The Toyark - News

Wow. Very nice, IMHO. Not sure I can ante up $43 + equivalent in international shipping, but...!
OK, this is a really neat looking R2D2, but $43 for a 4'' figure, NO BLOODY WAY!!
