Pretty sure that's just the lighting and the figure itself isn't red.

Whoo boy....I am very curious to see what amazing feat of toy engineering is going to allow that Cloud figure to hold that sword - with that wrist - in any way other than the way he's posed there. Unless that sword is made of Styrofoam, I can't imagine that wrist joint is going to hold up.

I was totally obsessed with Star Wars when I was a kid, Star Wars was everything to me. I never thought I'd say this but I wish Star Wars would just go the fuck away already!!! I've never seen anything beat into the ground as bad as Star Wars. I didn't think it was possible for them to make me totally sick of these characters. I guess the prequels had something to do with it too. Darth Vader hasn't been a cool character to me since the prequels.

Does every single company have to make Star wars crap? Is there a company NOT making Star Wars crap in some form?

To my knowledge NECA doesn't, pretty sure DC Collectibles doesn't, and maybe some others don't.

I don't have any Figuarts (yet), so about what scale would those MGS figs be?

That is a very good point. The PAK figures do have the clicky wrist joints now tho, so you never know.

Never been a big fan of PAK's style, but I actually like that Vader design for some reason. I'll still pass on it, though. No sense in collecting another larger-scale SW line when I'm already committed to the 6" Black Series.

You don't know George Lucas, then.

Or Disney, for that matter. Lucasfilm has nothing on the House of Mouse when it comes to merchandising their characters.

Figuarts are roughly 6"-scale, and I think Figmas are about the same. PAK figures are usually around 7" each, though.

The sword could be made out of that rubbery plastic that Hasbro uses on some of their toys for weapons (AOE deluxe Dinobots are a good example). That type of plastic is pretty light compared to the kind used for the figures themselves.

A clicky wrist joint couldn't hurt, either.
