I was so excited when I first saw the picture thinking that it was Spinal Tap! Sadly, it was Aerosmith. ugh. We need Spinal Tap and the Ramones. C'mon guys!

But Weird Al and Buzz Aldrin I'm getting for sure!

They can't do Spinal Tap because they're only allowed to make fictional characters created/owned by Gracie & Groening. The band Spinal Tap and all characters therein are not eligible just like they can't make a Mulder and Scully from The X-files, because those were the characters not the actors. They could do, and I hope they eventually do, a Stephen Colbert. He appeared on the show as Colby Krause, but was an all new created for the show character that NECA could do in theory.

i was hoping for the x files characters. I want a Steve Mobs! I wish they had kept the 3" figs going as i would have bought them all. 5" way too big to collect them all.

i get the logic behind mulder and scully but not spinal tap. They are doing Aerosmith have done other bands so why not spinal tap?

Much as I love Al's classic look, I hope we got a more up to date version as well.

Because Spinal Tap isn't a real band. They're a fictitious band that plays music, if that makes sense. The band itself is a character, as where Aerosmith is like The Beatles, Iron Maiden, KISS, etc. is a real band that exists in the real world before it was introduced in a mockumentary film. I honestly would have preferred Spinal Tap over Aerosmith, but NECA isn't allowed to do it. I hope that made sense.
