Forum member CMIII has let us know that MattyCollector posted an update to reveal that the long gestating Doomsday “Unleashed” DC Universe Classics Figure is being released! Here’s what was posted:
Celebrating the official end of the Four Horsemen 6″ DC Universe line, Mattel is excited to partner with Warner Bros. and DC Comics to bring you the long-in-coming “Unleashed” Doomsday figure! He will be available this winter in an amazing window box diorama as a standalone day-of purchase! Images and full details to come, but we couldn’t wait to share this news with our fans! This final figure will celebrate the end of a fantastic toy line.
This is a figure fans have long been hoping to see. It’s great that it’s finally finding a way to their hands. We saw Doomsday Unleashed way back at San Diego Comic-Con 2013. Check out a few pics after the jump to refresh your memory.

Well, that sucks. I bought the SDCC exclusive specifically because I thought it was the closest we'd get to DD in an appropriate size. Color me pissed. I imagine this unleashed version will be a pita to get as well.
Oh...
OH YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!
FUCK YOU MATTEL!!! FUCK YOU HARD!!!!!
I'm happy that I have the SDCC prison suit Doomsday. I am a bit of a completion freak and whichever one came first...I'd end up tracking down the other. Great news!
I am happy to have my bound Doomsday beating up my JLA from the time. Now I need a few of those fire effects and a way to beat Blue Beetle into a coma. Have to start working on my Bloodwynd and Guy Gardner customs now. :-)
I didn't get the exclusive.
Thanks for the heads up.
i'm sorry.. but i find it annoying to need a membership somewhere to be able to buy something.
I was excited last night...but I know Mattel will overprice the re-tooled body, I think $40 is fair but I think Mattel will ask 60 bucks for it....
I don't think you'll need a sub to buy this. The post states it's a "standalone day-of purchase".
NICE! They gave you credit CMIII! Way to go!
Good... And responding is not an obligation.
but you've provided such a great object lesson with your last response...
Alright guys, kindly steer this back on topic. Much appreciated.
Deleted posts. Since asking nicely doesn't seem to have any effect, I'm going to say it not so nicely. Any further pointless back and forth over something so trivial will result in being removed from the thread.
So, in keeping with the topic, are we getting the exact Doomsday as was seen back in 2013, or do we get a modified version of it somehow?
Cool
OK I sat back for a little while to bask in the glow of being right..... Anyway I do not have much more Info other then the Release will be November or December, Just in time for Christmas or Hannaka (how ever it's spelled, I'm not Jewish so I don't really know). The figure appears to be Just what Dr. Kain posted in the DCUC thread. Currently the information has not been fourth coming because Scott Neitlich is/was on vacation (do not ask how I know, lets just say I am that damn good). The figures release was based on three things. 1) DCSS sales to this point (Aquaman, Ice, and Bound Doomsday) 2) Failure of the DC:THU figures. 3) What was made at Mattel. What I can give you is an Idea of what we will get (Once Scott does the Youtube we will have more) the Outer box will be a Cross between the SDCC 14 box and the Matty Normal white box. A white box with the Large Superman S in red bleeding with the DCSS logo on the top. The Inner box will be the Face of Doomsday from Superman/Doomsday Aftermath with a Diecut window showing the beast. Inside will be a Diorama similar to the SDCC with Doomsday holding the Cape of Superman tattered over his hand (detachable). the inner casing will have smoke on it.
