The Amazing Spider-Man 2 drops today on Blu-Ray and DVD. What better way to celebrate than with a gallery of Spidey himself (here at Toyark, anyway)! Diamond Select Toys recently released their Marvel Select Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spider-Man in three flavors: Unmasked as a Disney Store exclusive, one with a window/wall base, and one with a Fire Fighter set of accessories, which we have here today. Read on to check our quick thoughts and over 35 shots!
Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spider-Man
Pros
Great sculpt
Colors are sharp
Poseability is above average
Extended web is sturdy
Cons
Torso sculpt is a bit chunky feeling, even if more realistic
Head can’t look up, limiting dynamic Spidey poses
Overall
Overall, a fun figure to run thru and shoot. Coming in at 7+ inches, he is a nice solid figure on the shelf. The extended web he comes with is nice, stays in the hand and the two pieces stay together, allowing for some extra long hanging around. The Fire Fighter accessories from the movie are a cool touch, but I’m indifferent to them, will never be used after this shoot. Sculpt is great, done by Gentle Giant. It doesn’t have a waist swivel, but personally I didn’t need it for most poses since it has the chest swivel. Joints are tight, hands swap and stay in place properly. If you dig Spidey, this is a solid pick up in the 7 inch scale, and since the movie-verse has switched back to the white eyes, he can easily stand in with any comic themed groupings. Marvel Select Spider-Man is out now, check your local comic shops, online retailers and Disney Stores while you’re out shopping for the Blu-Ray!
Swinging into action!
Hey, what’s going on over there…
Rock on!
That little guy is too fast!

I'm a sucker for some Spidey.
The swinging shots are great. Also, love this shot:

Great looking figure. On the fence though of getting the Blu-Ray I usually get it when it comes out but I can always wait till Black Friday:P
Looks better than the ML version. Just bought the ASM2 blu-ray too.
