“You’re not safe here. No one is.” Batman Arkham City has been a very popular video game among fans since its debut! The narrative, character, world designs, and game play have all contributed to the game’s success. Many Batman fans have been craving for the collectible figure from the video game since the release of Hot Toys’ teaser photos.

As a celebration for Batman’s 75th anniversary, Hot Toys is pleased to officially introduce the Batman: Arkham City: 1/6th scale Batman Collectible Figure. The collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Batman from the game featuring a newly developed masked head sculpt with 2 interchangeable lower faces, newly sculpted muscular body and Batsuit, and detailed weapons.

ok is it me or does it look like he has eaten too many bat-burgers?

He looks too chunky to me...shame I was looking forward to this

I feel like the body underneath is actually skinny, the suit might be thick to support movements/bending

He looks too thick in the trunks area, that's for sure. The way the belt pouches stick out makes it look like he really needs to do a lot more sit-ups.

Those gauntlets are much smaller than they should be, too.

Ha ha I needed a good laugh thanks. That must be a hard design to translate. It seems like every arkham figure based on the games looks a little off.

No kidding. Seems like every video game built on Unreal Engine 3 had to have thick, oddly shaped characters with some exaggerated proportions. The Arkham series has had some of the most normal character designs of that group, but obviously they're just strange enough to throw off some sculptors/3D modelers.

I think this looks great, though I've never been a big fan of those elongated ears on the cowl.

well the 6" and 18" Origins Batman figures are spot on...they just cant seem to do the same with the Asylum/City version

I know developing a figure like this is a complex process, but after all these years of experience (and all the money they make and charge for these) I expect Hot Toys to do better.

I mean, not only are the proportions all off (and he's a bit chubby), they couldn't even put the cape over Batman's shoulders? That's a basic characteristic that makes for a lot of his look. It should be something more like this:

I would have loved to get this but he looks like he's wearing Depends. I'll wait until they get it right.

even though the game is the source, you cant really compare them side by side.

i mean batmans crotch in that picture in the game looks small than his hands, and his arms look as thick as his legs, which is unnatural could be the angle

Yeah, Hot Toys definitely took some liberties with this one. The check list of issues so far:

-Deltoids are too small (Needs rounder shoulders)
-Cape does not drape right, and does not cover front delts
-Gauntlets are too small (Should extend to cover full length of forearm)
    -Waste line is too thick

I was going to second that the trunks look too thick, but after looking at it, I am not sure if the drawers are too think or if they just have the belt sitting up way too high on his waste in the promo photos. If you can pull the belt down lower on his waste, it might look accurate. You can see a little bit of his 8-pack in the game model, but you only see the 6-pack in the 1/6 photo.
