Guardians of the Galaxy Press Box

Posted on August 1, 2014 at 12:39 pm by Tony_Bacala under Marvel Toy News

Hasbro is known for sending out kick ass promotional boxes for their properties with big movies about to drop, and Guardians of the Galaxy from Marvel is next up on that list! The box contains items already in stores related to the movie, including Marvel Legends Star Lord, 2.5 inch Drax and Korath, Big Blastin Rocket Raccoon, the Milano Starship, and Role Play Star Lord Quad Blaster and Rocket Action Mask. But, these go out to press not focused on collectors as well, so it’s a nice spread for those not familiar with the line.

There is definitely some fun stuff for the kids in here, and the Marvel Legends stuff is top notch as we saw during our photo shoot back in June. Check out official images and product descriptions for the first waves available now via our post from Toy Fair 2014. We’d like to thank the Hasbro PR team for hooking us up, make sure to check the GotG stuff in stores now!

Nova looks like a really solid figure and Groot turned out great as well.

    Cons
    Iron Man feels cheap, lightweight
Arm joints are very bendable, feel weak

That's nice for $20! Iron Man was the only one I was interested in. I'd pay $7.99 but no more.

Love the pics! Prolly the best presentation of the figures I've seen on a site.

Great shots of the figures! Groot and Nova are definitely the best out of this lot. Like Catatronic said the joints for Iron Man are bendable and it just feels cheaply made. I hate to waste money on this figure, but Groot makes it worth it. Overall, a good series and I can't wait to see the X-men Marvel Infinite series.

Agreed. I dig Drax and Groot the most. Nova was a good figure, just don't care about the character that much personally.

Definitely picking up Nova if I can find one. A solid figure for one of my favorite characters.

Hey, we just call him Nova. Nova Prime is his rank, only corp members actually call him prime. I joke.

I was worried when they revealed him back at toy fair that they would also come out and say "Nova will have a variant of the new Nova just like how all of these lines need variants apparently!" This would upset me because look what that did to Carnage's after market price.

It's in relation to a costume change later in the movie. It matches the red in Starlord's Reavers outfit, no?
