Hasbro has sent out high resolution images and info for an upcoming Walmart Exclusive Star Wars Hero Series Millennium Falcon. It’s due out in the Fall. From what I understand, this Millennium Falcon has been scaled back a bit as it won’t feature any way to use your figures with it as the cockpit does not open. It’s basically a static display piece.

Does the back shell open to put the figures in there? If not it's so not worth it. I'll stick with my '77 falcon.
I love the look on the kids face, "man look how big this thing is!, and doesn't open up at all, you say? I won't even be able to throw it in our garbage can! I'll have to find a dumpster!"
I dont understand the point then. How do you play with it if it's not interactive with the figures? AND it's an exclusive??
Is hasbro still using focus groups? are there really kids who want less features? are kids involved at all? Is that thing recyclable?, because if not, hasbro and disney are just filling landfills. I try to not be the negative toy dude, but this is just silly.
With store specific exclusives, it's likely that Hasbro was approached with a request for an exclusive, in this case, by Walmart. Toys "R" Us is the spot for more collector oriented Star Wars exclusives. Walmart would likely demand something at a lower price point.
This is about a quarter of the price of the TRU version, but fairly close to the size. It hits in time for the holiday season, so I can actually see this selling enough to justify it. Collectors will scoff at it, but parents looking for a big "wow" item will see an over 2 foot long Star Wars vehicle for $60 (and likely less as sales will be going on). I can see this being part of their Black Friday deals easily.
That's pretty unfortunate. Coming soon to Walmart clearance aisles near you... :P
That kid is giving the Millenium Falcon his "oh" face.
Photographer to Kid in pic:" Now act like this is the best present you got this Christmas"
What little kid is really thinking: "My Dad and I would kill Santa if he left us this giant POS."
Terrible...just terrible. Action Fleet, with its cool, tiny pilots, is ten times better than that.
At the very least, go the Guardians of the Galaxy route and give us something to put in that Millenium Falcon.
kid looks like he's thinking..."What the F#CK am I supposed to do with this??"
either that or he's thinking....I thought I was getting the Avengers Falcon and you got me this?? I'd rather have socks....
It does look neat, however that has a horrible expression, and that is a terrible shirt to photograph a product against very detracting.
Where's the price?
Any kid would LOVE that thing.... it is huge and would look cool hung with fishing line. Wal-Mart wanted it cheap, that means single cast and no moving parts, I am guessing.
I get why you guys are bagging on it, but for the price point, it is a big wow piece. It comes in a big ass box too I am sure, kids love big boxes under the tree...... Not for us maybe, but I know my 8 year old son would be more excited than the kid in that stupid shirt if he got one. That said, I wonder about its international release? Regional exclusives are just that, since Wal-Mart has no UK, EU and very little Asian presence, I am betting we get this across the pond.
I still have my Vintage Collection.
I can't believe the Disney Logo is finally on the star wars product.

Why would a kid want a Millennium Falcon in the first place? That ship wasn't even in the prequels. Besides video games that ship hasn't even been seen since 1983. Why would any kid give a rat's ass about a ship from some old movie granpa used to watch 100 years ago?
my son and EVERY one of his many friends know it....
It looks great, but it feels like a vehicle version of Hasbro's Titan figures. Eh, I have other options if I ever want to get another Falcon.
Especially when those same kids probably saw it, too. Those movies are also incredibly easy to find on DVD and Blu-Ray. Kids could have also seen it on TV at some point, too.
The Falcon has also appeared in a lot of EU fiction and on countless pieces of Star Wars merch. It's likely one of the most famous and iconic science-fiction spaceship ever.
I still need a millennium falcon so I'll pick one up.
he'll be a display piece so I'm fine with the cockpit not opening.
so its not even a one seater?? sad. so sad.
