Injustice Batman and Joker SH Figuarts US Release Info

Posted on July 8, 2014 at 11:03 am by Joe Moore under DC Toy News, Video Game Toy News

Bluefin Tamashii Nations has announced that the SH Figuarts Injustice: Gods Among Us – Batman and The Joker will be getting a North American release. The figures are scheduled to hit stateside in December. They will be priced at $57.99 each.

SH Figuarts Injustice Batman
What better way to celebrate Batman’s 75th anniversary than with an ambitiously awesome Batman action figure from Japan’s premium collectors label: Tamashii Nations? Sculpted in meticulous detail and featuring an unparalleled range of movement, the Dark Knight/Batman as he appears in the popular “Injustice: Gods Among Us” game joins the Tamashii Nations S.H.Figuarts advanced action figure line-up with a full array of accessories and an original design face mask part! Deluxe action figure set also includes interchangeable hand parts (two types), batarang x2, bat grenade, and grapple gun. Ideal for posing with S.H.Figuarts Joker (INJUSTICE Ver.) to recreate the ultimate arch-nemesis battle scene.

SH Figuarts Injustice Joker
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier, Tamashii Nations brings on the insane. The Joker, “The Clown Prince of Crime,” joins the S.H.Figuarts advanced action series as he appears in “Injustice: Gods Among Us” featuring wicked proportion and detail, as well as ridiculous articulation. Deluxe figure set includes a special, original design gas mask along with an insane array of accessories: interchangeable head part, interchangeable hand parts (3 sets), knife accessory, crowbar accessory, gun accessory, chattering teeth x2, and Joker card. Ideal for posing with S.H.Figuarts Batman (INJUSTICE Ver.) to recreate the ultimate arch-rival battle scene.

Wow. They actually made the Injustice designs look kinda cool.

Personally, I wish they were going with the normal costumes. With the exceptions being Hawkgirl, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley, I don't like the Regime/Insurgency costumes as much, and Batman and Joker are near the bottom of the list(though Regime Raven is my least favorite). That being said, they did manage to make Batman look pretty good. If they do more characters, I hope they'll at least mix and match. I personally wouldn't mind an Injustice Raven figure in this scale, especially considering how godawfully horrendous the DC Collectibles one is(okay, slight exaggeration, but when the elbow breaks just moving it?), and I would love to see an Injustice Batgirl at some point, though I doubt they'd do DLC characters.

Those look hideous, especially Joker's face.

I'll pass on these. The only one I could see myself buying is Flash. I wish Bandai would have just done classic costumes of these guys. Or at least the Arkham Asylum versions.

Wow, those are insanely overpriced. There is no reason for them to cost more than $40.

I sincerely hope this means Bandai might do more DC Figuarts stuff in the future, because I'd love to see them tackle other designs besides Injustice: Classic, New 52, Arkham games - even Elseworlds would be cool to see.

I wouldn't go so far as to say insane, but I do agree that they seem overpriced compared to most other Figuarts. My guess the DC licensing fees might have something to do with that price increase.

    love the batman

I like the jokers face, but the pointiness of the suit kinda bugs me and the yellow comes off to yellow and to long at the bottom. he could be a little meatier.

Quick question. I never picked up a figuarts figure before, and I was wondering if they are compatible with other dc lines.

They're just a little taller than most Mattel 6" lines, but would be a bit smaller than DC Collectibles current offerings.

Yeah, but you could buy the Play Arts Kai ones for the same price and they are twice the size and just as ugly.

SHF and PAK are apples and oranges. Different companies, different construction/engineering, different designs.

Considering the other stuff that Bluefin has listed, the price for Injustice Figuarts is on par with their Tiger & Bunny offerings and even some of the Kamen Rider stuff. Maybe it's more to do with the parts count than a specific IP.

Anybody know who this is (from the SDCC photos)? Is it supposed to be a Figuarts variant of their Batman? I'd like to find more pictures. I think it's pretty cool and could splurge IF the cape is a reasonable length and hangs down naturally with gravity. TIA...

It's an unpainted prototype for their Injustice Batman.
