Over at LEGO Ideas, there’s a new proposal for a massive Avengers Movie LEGO Hellicarrier. The fully completed Hellicarrier would measure at 85.4 x 45.3 inches and feature an astonishing 22,694 LEGO bricks. That’s a massive set by anyone’s standards. If it were to get to and pass the LEGO review, it would need some tweaking to make it a bit stronger. Overall it’s a fantastic design worth checking out. Remember, it needs 10,000 support votes for LEGO to consider making this.

LEGO Ideas - Avengers Movie Hellicarrier
wow....just wow!!!!
At that size it would be at least 500$. That might be the most expensive Lego set ever. (Retail price)
the tower of orthanc is 2359 pieces, its a massive monster, i have it and its huge, it was about 300 dollars, i think?, this one is 10 times that, no way it would be feasible.
That's definitely cool but LEGO was something for my childhood days. The coolest ones are too expense and still not scaled right. I want to see a cool 12" plus plastic toy of the Helicarrier that is it's own item and well detailed. I'm sure someone will make one eventually.
Is it really cool? Yes. It's extremely cool.
It is not, however, ever going to be available as a retail product.
I have a Lego Super Star Destroyer sitting on my bookshelf about four feet away. It cost $400, it's about four feet long, and consists of about 3000 pieces.
The Helicarrier is over seven feet long with about seven times the bricks. That's a $2800 Lego kit, or almost six times more expensive than the most expensive Lego set ever sold.
Amazing, but it'll never get made. Far too huge to be made for sale.
Epic!!!
Kudos to the guy who designed it, but I agree with others that it won't be feasible, even as a Lego Ideas project.
Speaking of the guy who designed it. Anyone know who it was? Because I would pay for just the plans and build my own. I have three years and can mortgage my house again...
