Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cake Toppers

Posted on March 4, 2014 at 7:39 am by Joe Moore under Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Toy News

Check out these decent looking cake toppers for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Movie. They feature the four turtles with some nice details, sporting their new looks for the upcoming Jonathan Liebesman directed film. The photo comes courtesy of Comic Book Movie. The actual toys were present at Toy Fair, but photography wasn’t permitted. The first trailer for TMNT 2014 is set to debut in April with the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

At first I was indifferent to these designs, but I'm starting to hate them

why can't they just show off some of the main line toys already.. i mean, seriously, not allowing photos at toy fair was ridiculous.. how do they expect people to get excited for the toy line?.. keeping it under the radar is a bad idea.

    why?..
Probably not Playmates' call. It's typical for a studio to require licensees to withhold official unveiling of their products until the trailer or official images are released. Paramount likely doesn't want the first widely released look at the designs to be via toys.

Same. They look like nightmare fuel.

I mean, they're not bad enough to deter me from watching the movie (Megan Fox as April, and a white Shredder have already done that).

There really isn't anything technically wrong with the designs. They've done weirder stuff with the turtles in the past, but as actual official designs for the reboot, they are a little too far form what fans would consider "normal" for Ninja Turtles...which sounds like an oxymoron, really...

But yeah, I will kinda agree the designs are a little "busy", or as I saw somone else put it; over developed. Although I kinda like some of the design choices for Raf and Leo, there is a lack of subtlety to these designs. Mainly it's just their outfits. They're over dressed.

Likely part of the reason they have been keeping the designs under wraps for so long. The longer they give people to look at them the more time people have to realize they aren't the Turtles they were looking for.

Between the designs for the Turtles, the production team not being able to find an Asian actor anywhere in the world to play Shredder, and Megan Fox having such an amazing lack of talent it's looking like a film I wouldn't watch even on a dare. Not even a double dog dare.

By the way, I like the words you speak. EDIT: I don't know why this line is underlined.
