Toyark’s Black Series Wave 3 in-hand photo shoots are here, starting with #10 Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan sports his Episode III look with full beard and Jedi Attire sans cloak. He comes with a movie accurate lightsaber hilt with optional “saber”. Obi Wan is primarily molded plastic with some slight soft-goods built in around the waist, allowing for better movement in the legs. The face sculpt is suprisingly good, early shots of this figure in the development stage did not do it justice. Additional fine detailing in the facial structure, mixed with a fuller beard and paint wash to add dimension – turns this figure from an easy pass into something to consider, depending on your preferred completionist level :). he's $20 and only comes with a lightsaber.. that's pretty weak.
they could've at least thrown in an extra pair of hands.. or hell.. just one other hand in case you want to hold the saber in one hand and not have the other look like it's holding air.
oh well. i just want some clone commanders and captains.. and general grevious.
Those look grand. Obi-Wan is an easy pass but I might still pick him up if the Anakin figure coming down the pipeline turns out better than expected as well. Need that Stormtrooper in muh life, I'd be soured if I missed him like I did the Sandtrooper.
