Toyark’s Random Photo Shoots continue today with S.H. Figuarts Krillin. The Bandai Japan/Tamashii Nation’s Dragonball Z line gets another core character with the addition of Krillin and he doesn’t disappoint. Check out over 35 images of Krillin in action and our thoughts on the little guy after the break!
The Krillin S.H. Figuarts release keeps in step with the previous DBZ releases in terms of build quality, paint, and articulation. All are top notch. As with most Bandai 5 inch releases, the interchangeable parts can be a bit tricky to snap completely in place, such as the heads and hands. With a little effort, they usually snap in eventually – and they do here. He’s in scale with the other DBZ figures from the line, so of course he’s a bit smaller and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
He comes with a slew of hands so you can mimic almost any move you want. He can do his Solar Flare with one of 4 additional heads and 6.5 sets of hands. He comes packed with the Destructo Disc, an extension piece, and a special hand which has a peg-hole in it for all that. Kinked fingers are there so a Ka-Me-Ha-Me-HA is possible.
The only real gripe we have is that he isn’t 100% cartoon accurate. And by that, we are nitpicking – his eyes are colored in white. Most of the animation shows Krillin without the whites of his eyes. Does it make sense for him to have flesh colored eyes? No. But who cares. Would have been cool. Maybe they’ll hit us with a repaint exclusive somewhere with that.
So, check out shots of Krillin in action below, and make sure to discuss and share on the forums!
