New Images and Info For E2046 Asuka Plug Suit Model Kits

Last week we previewed the Asuka Plug Kit from E2046, which showed the in-progress sculpting for the model kit. Now, E2046 has posted new images and info for their upcoming Neon Geneses Evangelion Asuka Plug Suit Model Kits. There will be both an Asuka Gathering and an Asuka GK model kit available. The Gathering version is their fully painted model kit, while the GK version comes completely unpainted, allowing you to get as detailed (or as simplified) a paint scheme as you want.

The kits feature highly detailed sculpts showing Asuka in her signature Plug Suit. The suit allows the characters from Neon Genes Evangelion to synch with their EVA’s. The figure rests on a NERV Dummy Plug System base. The kits are 1/6 scale, standing at 29CM tall (just below 11.5″). Minor assembly will be required for each kit. Release date and price have not yet been announced. We’ll have more info soon.

    Always thought that her original plug suit was the best looking one. Might have to pick this one up.

    I don't get it. Never liked Evangeleion, and this ***** was a big reason why. Why would anyone want this?

    All those hair and cabel parts. I can imagine a few tears shed trying to get all that to line up right

    Actually, their stuff is mostly minor assembly, snap together pieces. The hair is likely all one piece and the base is probably only 4-5 pieces in total.

    The same could be said for anything collected. I guess the whole: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" notion. As you have stated, you don't get it and you probably shouldn't lose moments from trying to figure out why.

    With that said, Don't have space for this as it is and the price isn't as enamoring as I thought si with that, pass. I'll keep my Evangelion collection through Figmas and Robot Spirits.
