Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor Set Listed On Amazon

Posted on August 31, 2013 at 11:14 am by Joe Moore under Marvel Toy News

Back in July, we reported on an Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor 6 Figure Box Set. Now forum member trekking95 points out that the set has been listed on Amazon. Unfortunately, it says that the set is unavailable and no release date is listed. The set includes the following 3.75 figures:

• Tony Stark
• Mark I
• Mark II
• Mark 42
• Mark IV
• Mark VI

I don't know if it's been found already, but Amazon has a listing for the Iron Man 3 Hall Of Armor 6 pack set, but it's currently unavailable and has no shown price or release date.

    Here the link!

And yes, Mark 42 has ankle pivot and maybe even wrist hinges! Looks like a scaled down version of the 6 in. one to me. I'm not going to use names (I don't want to be advertising other people's sites) but if you google "iron man 3 hall of armor hasbro" the first result should be a review of the set, but no info on where they got it. But they say it's around $40, so not bad!

The figures in the review look great, but Stark's one eye is painted on the forehead!

I would recommend getting this set, but I may not. I have Mark I, II, III and VI from the IM2 line, and I don't like the blue glow on the arc reactor. I'll likely just pick up 42 and Stark when the sellers in China get them.

Looks like Stark is kitbashed from Joe parts like Nick Fury was in the IM2 set.

Hmmm I think i should invest in this set might go for a nice price for MU fans later perhaps although that would depend on how much it costs

Yeah...I'm gonna have to get this. Why couldn't they just do the MK 42 like that in the first place?

a must have, I hope they keep up the "civilian" secret identity figures. (and no I dont count Iron man with his helmet off as Tony Stark)

I feel like maybe they started down the path of a proper IM3 line but someone decided against it. Likely that the Mark 42 (and maybe Stark) were already mocked up before they went the assembler route. Otherwise I will like Iron Patriot would be in there too.

It saddens me to know that I own most of those armors, but I'm buying this for a tiny RDJ.

That is the main reason/thinking behind me getting out of MU collecting. I liked them a lot at first because they take up less room, can mix in gi joe vehicles, and other scaled items and props for cheap, but as a completist there was too much repaints, multipacks etc done. And it always seemed the figure you just got, got repainted and looks better then the one you have in hand. Or a multipack such as this gets released which has almost all reissued figures but 1, which everybody wants or needs to complete a dio/team. I sold almost all my MU stuff, and got back into collecting ML. At least with ROML for the most part the repainted figures don't come with a baf piece forcing you to buy them, and there's only 1, 2 at most that are repaints in each wave.

I understand what you are saying. Thats why I've switched to being a semi-completist in the sense that I only pick up characters/costumes of old characters that I don't have. I definitely just avoid all the repaints (New Avengers Team set is a good example). However, I will pick up new re-toolings or better looking repaints like for example the new Cap that came out in the Elecktra wave. That Cap is probably the best figure in that entire wave I think.

Maybe it's because Ive never been a big fan of these kinds of figures, but these look horrible.

I have always wondered at the logic of the "partial" re-paint/re-tool. My example is the 8 million Captain America figs in the MU line. I get the ton of them for the Cap movie line but the MU line has ever so slightly re-painted the fig (or changed his belt) so many times it makes me crazy.

I am happier when they re-paint with a purpose. Examples include the Wave 1 Iron Man and his Stealth equivalent in blue (vs the slightly darker repaint he received a few years later in the Target 2 packs). Why, with all the repaints of Cap with "shine" or lite blue and then dark blue and then with "scratches" on his shield, did they not simply repaint to make a "Captain" or US Agent in Black, Red and White? Little things like that make the re-buy worth it for most completionists/semi-completionists.

The Iron Fist in white was a good example of a worth while repaint while the planned (and I guess scraped) Moon Knight in white with dark grey instead of black highlights was a piss poor idea (where as a reversed color scheme like in the comic and Legends line would have made supreme sense). Slight color changes suck. Do we really need Silver Surfer in white, slightly shiny, drab, semi-translucent and silver?

Thanks. I think I'm gonna pass on it. All i want is that mark 42 for my armory display, that's it. I'm not too keen on that Tony cause the outfit wouldn't jive well with my 616 figures.

It sort of works for a modern Tony, especially since they draw him like RDJ anyways now...

Classic Tony is the Star Wars Black 3.75" Biggs for sure.

But I know what you mean, I was kinda against mixing Joe bodies with my 3.75" Marvel until Professor X came out.
