So they'll show off new MOTUC figures, but NOT DCU? Cure, real cute Mattel.

Mattel needs to watch it they are playing with fire. The quality of the figures has gone way down, so if they don't sell this line may be canceled like Marvel Legends was for a while.

On one side, it would suck, as there are so many more characters I want. On the other hand, it would be a blessing because then I can stop buying them and feel like I am getting raped each month.

Mattel's in-house team gave TV Catwoman a giraffe neck. Batsui Batman also has a weird torso going on due to the shorts sculpt. Penguin looks fantastic however.

While I'm glad to see the Batman Unlimited BtB Batman figure on-display, the lack of BtB Anarky and the new BB Terry Batman troubles me. I couldn't care less about Damien getting a figure, but these two I was looking forward to. If BtB Anarky doesn't get released, I'm not sure I'll bother getting the BtB Batman figure.

MoS Superman actually looks kinda cool in black. I still need to get out and see the movie, so I have absolutely no idea if this has anything to do with it (don't tell me, I'm actually trying to stay away from spoilers).

The Arkham Origins Deathstroke looks pretty cool. Not sure if I'll get him, but he'll certainly be tempting. That said the Batman will be an easy pass. That thing looks like shit.

The 60's Batman line still looks good. That said the only figure I know I'm going to get for myself is the Joker. I might get the Batman & Robin two-pack for my dad, and if I do I'll be going out and getting it signed by West and Ward.

It's probably not going to happen, but I'm still kinda hoping they reveal a Batgirl figure for the line. I don't care if they can't use Craig's likenes, just give it a generic looking face and call it a day. That said, I'll be surprised if there are any figures for this line that haven't already been revealed. I think this has always been a one-wave-line sort of situation, tbh...

I can't believe how many Deathstroke figures we're getting lately. First the 3.75" Injustice one, DCC New 52, DCC Arrow DS, this Mattel Arkham Origins version... and obviously DCC will be making their own AO Slade as well. Sweet.

I'm liking the 6" Injustice Green Lantern as well, but I don't know if I'll end up getting one.

Sorry if I appreciate quality entertainment and not the poor man's Jason Todd...

That's even funnier when you account for the fact that I'm not a fan of Jason Todd either, and consider him to be the poor man's Dick Grayson.

Man, I'm going to be seriously pissed if Batman Beyond got canceled again - it already happened once before with DC Universe All Stars!

And Damian is by far my favorite Robin, and possibly my favorite DC character in general - but I won't be broken up if his figure was canceled. It was pretty stupid looking to begin with thanks to that roided-up body, I was just gonna end up popping off the head and cape to use for a custom version anyway.

  19. Shin Densetsu's Avatar Shin Densetsu says

    07-18-2013, 04:56 PM

Alright that would SUCK if Batman Beyond got canceled...AGAIN...thing is the DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited lines have been hitting fast, so they've been relatively easy to find for me. I was looking forward to Batman Beyond.

Damian Robin I can understand getting canceled, but I hope it does NOT rule out a future figure of him. A version of him using a much more smaller buck would be appreciated as he's not the size of an adult in the books. How his figure turned out to be bigger than the classic Dick Grayson Robin figure is beyond me. That's nuts. Hopefully Mattel can use a Young Justice buck for Damian Robin.

  20. Poison Shadow's Avatar Poison Shadow says

    07-18-2013, 05:59 PM

You would think that Mattel would release Damian eventually. I mean, they paid to have the headsculpt made at least - and I'm assuming his hooded cape was a new piece as well. I don't really understand why you wouldn't release a Robin in the Batman Unlimited Line - seems like a no-brainer to me.

Was anything new made specifically for that Batman Beyond? I know he was supposed to include his wings - I just don't know if they were the same ones originally created for the first BB or not.

It's not like I'd ever see either of them in stores anyway though. The one store that carries them (my nearest Toys R Us) is still clogged with overly bright Penguins and Injustice Batmans (Batmen?) that aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

  21. Dr Kain's Avatar Dr Kain says

    07-18-2013, 08:34 PM

I am still wanting to know WHY Damian and Beyond got canned. They told us in Feb they were wave 3 of BU (with Vamp Bats) and then canned them both for what reason? Telling us they did not have enough slots is bs.

They also never said anything about the naked Cheetah, or the all gold Dr Fate, the variant to Red Tornado, etc. In fact, the only time they comment is when it is either, "We cannot say anything right now," "That would require too much tooling," and "People have to buy our crap before we start putting out quality." Well, okay, the last one is exaggerated a lot, but that is essentially the meaning behind their statements.
