Posted on June 11, 2013 at 10:30 am by Joe Moore under Star Wars Toy News

Fly Guy has posted even more Star Wars Black Series 3.75″ Figure listings. And it’s a lot of Clones and Troopers, perfect for the troop builders out there.

UPDATE
An updated posted at Fly Guy reveals these are sadly NOT Star Wars Black Series, but a last Build-A-Droid wave and leftovers. Bummer.

Updated with 6" listings as well.

Woo hoo! A Black Series Bespin Luke! My original wishlist for this series is almost complete. Hopefully the retailers in my area will actually start carrying it at some point, especially since these are Walmart listings.

As for the 3.75" offerings, I'm really curious to see what version of ROTJ Luke they're talking about. If it's another variant of his Jedi Knight outfit, I'll probably pick him up.

I see Fett but no Han in carbonite. Really hope that doesn't stay exclusively part of the comicon pack.

The 6" Boba Fett will be a must. If Han and slave Leia look good I'll get them too. I definitely wasn't expecting Greedo, so hopefully this means that Bossk has a good chance at being made. The episode III Obi-Wan will be tempting.

Ummm...the whole point to that set is that the Han in carbonite is exclusive to it and SDCC...

I wonder which Boba Fett this will be? Hopefully ROTJ because the SSDC exclusive is ESB.

I'm assuming it'll just be the ESB version, like the SDCC exclusive. Which honestly, I would be perfectly fine with. Boba Fett is my favorite SW character, and ESB is my favorite SW movie.

Though the Boba Fett figures I really want to see from this line/scale, is the animated and concept designs. When I first heard that the SDCC exclusive would be a Boba Fett, I was really expecting it to be one of those two designs. Kinda glad it isn't. Would definitely have to get one of those, but Han in carbonite and an extra gun are easy passes for me.

What would you say would be the most iconic Luke? I'm interested in starting a small Star Wars collection with these 6" figs coming up. I'm more partial to the black suit Jedi Luke, but I know it may not be the most iconic.

For me personally, it's the Jedi Knight Luke that we see during the scenes on Tatooine in ROTJ (technically he becomes a master after beating Vader). To me, that's Luke at his most badass - especially when he does the flip off the gangplank, catches his GREEN lightsaber and starts kicking ass.

A close second is his Bespin Fatigues look from the last part of ESB. Depending on how the mold is done and his accessory count, they could also use it to double as his Dagobah training outfit (the only major differences are Luke's jacket, his right hand and Yoda's backpack).

Then it goes down from there: Hoth, Dagobah (if it's a separate release), X-Wing Fighter/Snowspeeder, Endor camo, Emperor's prisoner (handcuffed w/opened collar of his black jacket), Tatooine (farmboy), Stormtrooper disguise, Post-Op (very end of ESB), Bacta Tank (after Wampa attack in ESB) and finally Ceremonial (end of ANH) which is my least favorite.

I highly doubt we'll see any vehicle tie-ins for this line. If Hasbro makes them in scale (well, about as much as the vehicles for the 3.75" figures are), then they would be too large to be successful at retail (i.e. too expensive for most people to afford). If they're not in scale with the 6" figures, I'm not sure how desirable they will be for people who only collect the Black Series.

That's actually all good, as the figures in Black Label waves 1 and 2 were all initially from the Build a Droid series, just lacking the droid parts now for black label. Looks like a decent troop builder wave and I don't keep cards anyways.

Wish it had Starkiller Hero, Bastila Shan and plenty others from the Vintage Collection that were a complete PITA to find.

I thought Star Wars Black was just going to be 6" figures and the 3.75" figures would fall under another sub-line (like Saga Legends or Vintage). Because I'll most likely skip the majority of the 3.75" figures, if they're all going to end up under the Black label.

(Isn't it a little ironic that the acronym for Build-A-Droid is B.A.D.? "Oh, those are actually B.A.D. figures". Or "I'm gonna skip the B.A.D. figures and just get the Vintage stuff". )

Well, maybe those will show up again down the road. Didn't Hasbro say something about reissuing some of the Vintage figures again as filler to keep the sub-line going through this year? Or am I mis-remembering it?

They're making a speeder bike for the 6'' (a reasonably priced one at that). Im hoping this is a sign some more vehicles will be coming haha, i mean I'm down to collect this whole 6'' line as long as they keep putting good figs out. Slave I would be a godsend

how about a DV Tie fighter..I love that thing
I think a MF would be too costly to produce but it would be awesome

Now that Jabba and the speeder bike are on their ways out, should or could we expect Taun Tauns and the Wampa?

I collect 6" Black for my gf's son and he has all the figures now, except Boba w/carbonite Han. But if there was a set I would buy for both he and I, it would be Hoth gear Han w/Taun Taun. And possibly a second Wampa (for scenery lol)

That all being said, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities to expect vehicles like the Tie fighter or the X-Wing and the Land Speeder. I don't know what they're planning on charging for the speeder bike, but I'm sure it won't be unreasonable, but as the vehicles get bigger or more complex, the price will of course go with it.

If they ever made the Millenium Falcon, I think it would be a limited edition (maybe 10,000 units) as a random guess at it, but I'm sure Hasbro will look at the numbers and make a decision as to what the market would bear.

When I was wee, I had all the Kenner figures (mail away et al), it's a lot of fun to see another generation enjoy the movies and characters like I did and still do!

i dont know where, i think it was during toy fair, but they said they dont plan on releasing any vehicles, the speeder bike is an exception because of the size, but they were planning creatures, so i guess a wampa, tauntaun, dewback will come eventually.

instead of a vehicle, how awesome would a 6" scale rancor would be???

I could see Hasbro doing a cut-away cockpit diorama of the Falcon, but I don't think they'd ever make a to-scale one. I mean, that'd be even bigger than Matty's Castle Grayskull!

Or maybe the Falcon's ramp/hatch. Packed with the breathing apparatus they use in ESB.
