Official images have been released for Arcadia’s VF-1J Valkyrie Macross 30th Anniversary Edition. This 1/60 scale release features a special paint scheme designed by Hidetaka Tenjin along with optional stickers and waterslide decals. This is also a joint project with Hasegawa(who is releasing a 1/72 non-transforming plastic model kit in fighter mode with the same paint scheme).
This 1/60 30th anniversary VF-1J includes:
- 1 pilot figure
- Missle pods
- Air-to-air missles on pylons
- gunpod
- optional TV style hands
- Simple stand
- Stand attachment
Arcadia chose to make this release based on the VF-1J since it is a “hero machine”(the main mount for Hikaru until Roy’s death in the Macross TV series). According Arcadia’s site, the box will come with an outer sleeve. This VF-1J is planned for release in August for 16,590 yen.
