Mattel has announced the dates for their Masters of the Universe Classics Club Eternia and DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscriptions. Check out the details below, direct from Mattel:
Toy Fans,
As you probably know, we usually open subscriptions right after our Mattypalooza fan panel at San Diego Comic-Con and they stay open for about a month. Over the years, many of you have asked us to run the subscriptions longer so for 2014, we’re starting the sale early so everyone has a chance to get theirs when it’s convenient for them!
Subscriptions will be available for Masters of the Universe® Classics Club Eternia® and DC Universe Club Infinite Earths. When you sign up on 6/17, you’ll get all the subscription details except the names of the club-exclusive figure and first-quarter figures for each club. As always, those will be revealed at Mattypalooza Fan Panel at SDCC. (If you’re wondering why we don’t wait to open the subs until after the fan panel and leave the subscriptions open past August, it’s because we need final numbers by 8/19 to set production quotas and hit a January 2014 release date.)
Here are the dates you need to know:
2014 Subscriptions – Club Eternia® & Club Infinite Earths
Availability Opens: Monday 6/17 9am PT
Club-Exclusive Figures Announced: Mattypalooza Fan Panel at SDCC
Availability Closes: Monday 8/19 11:59pm PT
Next year is going to be the year to rule all others and you won’t want to miss a single figure from either brand! Want an email reminder? Click here to register. Or, join me on Facebook, Twitter and in our Fan Forums and you’ll get reminders there, too.

Mattel Announces Opening Date For 2014 Subscriptions
I am still hoping Mattel will announce a Captain Power Classics subscription at SDCC.
I'm sorry...but they expect us to blindly subscribe without seeing 1 single figure? dont get me wrong, I'm prepared to subscribe, and intend too, but I'm a little miffed that they would offer a subscription without showing atleast the first figure. or giving us a name
Wow, they actually are trying something new! You can choose to ship your figures quarterly. . .kinda like a Pile 'o Loot!
And they're also trying something old. Raising the prices. $20 per DC figure for subscribers/$23 for non-subscribers. It was $18 & $20 this year, right? (I didn't subscribe. . .too rich for my blood.)
Why can't they do Pile-O-Loot NOW? I'm fed-up with paying $38 for a single figure mailed to me. And why can't they take an order for DC figures to be shipped with the MOTUC sub figure? I've grown to absolutely despise this company over the last 3 years.
Their blah blah blah in the details of how it will work next year is a bit fuzzy, but I read it as saying that after the first quarter (why the first quarter has to work this way, I don't know) that your whole Pile can ship together, across subscriptions.
But I don't know how day-of sales would work, I assume they would ship separately.
I totally agree that a teaser would've been great, but from a business standpoint I can see why they wouldn't want to do that.
