The highly anticipated Injustice Gods Among Us game is out now and interestingly enough, the Injustice Batman Gunmetal Repaint from DC Unlimited wave 4 has turned up on eBay courtesty of an auction by viperskingdom. The other figure from wave 4, Injustice Green Lantern, remains to be seen.

So, how about it, do you think this is an improvement over the initial wave 2 release? Read on to see the whole image…

As I just said in my Larfleeze rant:

Mattel, get your ****ing act together or just tell us you are done with the line because it clearly shows you aren't even trying anymore!!!!!!!!!

Y'know, the surprising thing about this particular mold is that it looks horrible in pictures but great in person - especially when left in the package with that great artwork.

I only have two complaints: his pupils aren't visible like they should be according to the game, and the bottom of his cape isn't scalloped... which you would think would be one of the top details on the "checklist" for Mattel when making a new Batman toy. You know, placed somewhere between making sure he has pointed ears and a bat symbol on his suit.

There's also a battle damaged version. Let me know if you want pics.

I'm still having trouble justifying a purchase of the first version, so any mold reuses are an easy pass (even if I like that gunmetal deco).

We must be looking at two different toys then. I saw him at Walmart the other day, picked him up, looked at him, and just dropped him back onto their shelf. They had 4 of him, so it shows no one wants him.

    The sculpt is awesome but...

....I actually don't recommend this figure. I bought it, thought it looked awesome, opened it, posed it...1st thought was "wait a minute...this does not feel like a 4H sculpt..and...this articulation is weird..."

I'm not sure why it has swivels below the knee when there is already a thigh swivel. What this ends up doing is leaving it with knee joints that cannot bend 90 degrees back. It also looks awkward posing. The hips can't go 90 degrees forward either, they can move forward but are hindered by the utility belt.

Even the Superman figure has similar articulation, with the lack of bicep swivels, et al.

Sculpts are good but these are not up to par with the other DC Unlimited/DCUC figures.

His pointy ears look ridiculous. I'd rather they shortened 'em a bit and be less accurate (not like they were going for 100% accuracy anyways) than have those big curved points on his head.

Eh, different strokes for different folks.

I will say that I would have preferred if they made the other Batman from the game instead of going with this costume... but this design is in all of the artwork and promotional material, thus making it the one people expected.

The same could be said for the other Injustice figures, though. That Joker, for example, is only seen in the opening for the game - the other costume is used from then on. And yet... oh well.

I can see where you're coming from but what's moreso baffling to me is how these figures were constructed. Mattel says the 4H sculpted these, I have my doubts. I like 4H figures. These feel more like Green Lantern Movie Masters or Arkham City figures from last year or the year before, both lines sculpted in-house by Mattel.

I'm starting to think the purple tinted one may actually be the variant, I've seen this gunmetal repaint way more, saw it at TRU yesterday. Seems a lot of people are passing on it, can't blame them. Inaccuracies aside, I LOVE the sculpt, hate how the articulation was cut in and how it's hindered.

Most of the 6" game figures by Mattel are disappointing. I think their best one is the 6" Arkham City Joker. Even the Batman figures from that line weren't all that.

You know what bothers me about this DC/Batman UNLIMITED is the underlined word. If this series is so Unlimited why is Mattel limiting it to Batman and Superman. With Unlimited I was really hoping to see from the Batman line maybe Spoiler, Batwoman, and other characters we have not seen 19 times in four figure series already same goes for DC Unlimited. I get trying to bring the New 52 in but please focus attention on Heroes and Villains you have yet to do that could be good in Store release. Hey Mattel Batman and Superman are a dead horse and you keep beating that horse
