Yawwwwwwwwn. Oh cool another Darth Vader. I need more of those. More repainted Clone/Storm/Sand Troopers? Hasbro knows we can't live with out 'em!

Where the hell is ANH Leia?
    Seriously.
It's time Hasbro. You are about tapped out.... why are you just holding on to the one last figure that everyone needs to round out thier ANH collection of main characters?
To me, it looks like Hasbro has stepped down a few rungs on the ladder. Most of the Vintage Line had really good face sculpts; there was even a Leia that looked like Carrie Fisher, but now.....yeesh. Just look at those Anakin and Padme figures....if you dare....
I'm really hoping that they have more to show on Sunday. These figures are all a big bummer. And the vehicles, too. Well that repainted Slave-1 is ok, I just don't like how there is no boarding ramp. Glad that they are finally making 6" figures, though.
This is how you make grown men cry, Hasbro. *snivels*

Most of it looks the same as the stuff still sitting in Wal-Mart and Target while some of it looks worse. The bigger Maul looks alright.

So are they not going to say what toy line they're putting the Mara Jade figure in? Unsurprising.

I've never been a huge Star Wars guy but these 6" figures are great.

Is there something special about the 3.75" black labels?

6" scale R2-D2 is an insta-buy. I'll wait to get anymore of the series until they release a basic stormtrooper, Boba Fett, C-3P0 etc...

And call me daft, but the fact that those Star Wars Saga figures are going back to POTF style... I... kinda like it. I played with those as a kid, so it's kinda nostalgic. I might pick up one or two of them.

It read like they're going to have GI Joe like articulation and looking at the pics it seems like half of them will. I'm a bit confused. Some have ball jointed hips, others have t-crotch.
I'll jump on fully articulated 3.75" Star Wars.

I'll probably get that Ep. 2 Anakin so I can finally replace that horrible Tatooine Attack version.

Looking forward to the 6" R2 as well though those opening panels look a bit ropey.

What is the logic in putting 3.75" figures under the Black label? I thought that fancy schmancy term was cooked up specifically for the 6" figures. Why don't they keep calling the 3.75" figures what they've already been calling them?

They really need to release the original 70s mold of Vader's tie fighter. I actually prefer that than the movie-accurate one. All it is is a pod and wings, I mean how hard is that?

It's just a continuation of the Vintage Series under a new banner.

Because now the 3 3/4" figures are crappy, so the Black Label designation will mean 'these figures don't suck, adult collectors only'.

Doesn't make any sense. The 3.75" figures already had their own classification. This is like making Transformers Legends class figures, and calling them Leaders, or Sideshow Toys making statues out of macaroni and calling them Premium Format.

I might actually revise my Black Label shopping list after seeing those Darth Maul pics. And yes please on the Boba Fett - but just the retail version. HSIC would be nice, but not necessary and probably not worth trolling HTS after SDCC unless there's going to be a TF exclusive I want there as well.

No, it's more like taking FOC and Classics toys and putting them both under the "Generations" banner. VC figures were already really good (and a crap-ton better than most of the other SW sub lines like Clone Wars, Saga, etc).

The new 6" figures are supposed to be on-par with VC, just in a new scale. So it makes sense that they both would be put under the same banner. Now "Black Label" can refer to the collector-oriented stuff, while the rest of the sub-lines can be "FOR THE KIDS".

Yes, I've been holding out on the Vintage ANH leia in hopes they'd update her posability (hate the elbows).
But there are still many POTF2 figures to remake (four key Jabba's palace aliens) and several cantina aliens, too (the chicks with braids and a few of the helmeted guys - Bo Shek was a start but he needs re-doing), a new band would be nice.

Looking forward to Boba's Slave 1 but I won't rest until there's a new Y-wing. And a larger sandcrawler. And a new wampa.

If I had to shell out $20 plus tax for 6" Marvel and DC figures when the lines began there would have been no way I ever would have started. As it is, I am especially critical and conservative now about which new figures I buy because they are barely worth it. So I don't think I'll be getting involved with the "Black" line. Besides, Star Wars figures without vehicles are like... well, it bites, is all. They won't even make 3.75" scale full size screen accurate vehicles, imagine how they'd mutilate them for 6".

I was looking at the hasbro line what if they are winding down and Disney goes with a different company?

Doubtful, considering the Black Label series is brand-new and is also made by Hasbro. Disney already has a good relationship with Hasbro through Marvel, so I don't see any reason why Disney would want to move the Star Wars license to another toy company simply because they now own Lucasfilm, Ltd.

Especially since Hasbro has effectively had the license since the beginning (if you count Kenner's tenure as part of Hasbro's, since they were bought by Hasbro in 1991).
