Looking at these toys makes me feel like its 1997.....
Seriously mattel?...its 2013 and this is what "new" toys look like?......
Another new toy, this time spoiler free.
Man of Steel - Mega Punch Superman
That's ridiculous.
spoilers: clark kent is popeye
I will buy zero of these!!! Woohoo!
ok, i'm officially calling this the shelfwarmers of 2013.
wth. these are embarrassingly terrible.
so i'm guessing no one paid attention to the abysmal green lantern sales, and felt like going back in time 20 years to get inspired by outdated and ugly designs that didn't sell well then too!
way to go mattel.
vehicles may have potencial and i could use a zod. not much to buy maybe wait for ross to get them.
Wake me from cryo when they've released photos of the Movie Master line.
Bit out of touch with the supposed, grim and gritty reboot, isn't it?
as long as movie masters are present, im fine
I think the line looks pretty good. I might get one or two of the stretch figure things to keep on-card, and maybe even a couple of the normal figures. Zod looks pretty cool. I still want to see the Movie Masters they mentioned last year. I'll most likely get Supes and Zod, and while I can't see it happening, if they actually make a Lois figure (any scale for that matter), I'll get it.
Bout what I expected from a movie tie in line.
The Action League figures were fantastic compared to these.
Why do they keep doing these terrible movie figures not just Mattel, I know we are collectors but obviously even kids aren't buying them does no one look at the sales figures from these lines.
I know stores buy them from the companies then sell them and the toy company makes it's money but at some point you think they would realize they don't sale well at retail.
I don't see these "kids" they always talk about buying up these figures like the companies say they do, must buy toys from a store that isn't near me.
Everyone else still have Iron Man 2 figures for $9?

the way i see it someone's buying maybe not in your area but somewhere theres enough product going out for companies to say put it out dont update our style just put what we know sells and we'll be fine. and as consumers we continue to buy, complain ,and buy some more. if we truly wanted better figs we wouldnt buy these "throwback" figs at any price.
I expect these will sell better than GL toys on character recognition alone. The aisles will be choked with them, but they will make plenty off this drek.
I'm holding out hope there will be some Movie Masters worth buying. I expect to pick-up a 6-inch Zod at least.
ToyzMag means to clarify the publication of several photographs showing Mattel new toyline from the next Superman movie Man of Steel.
These pictures were taken during the press presentation organized by Mattel France. Our editor responded to Mattel France’s invitation and went to their premises near Paris. He openly took several pictures of the toys displayed and received a USB flashdrive containing the corporate catalog for 2013. These are the only sources for the images we published earlier this week on our website.
During the press presentation, before publication that is, our editor, asked Mattel’s representatives about any copyright issue considering the previous leak of Batman The Dark Knight Rises toys in 2012. We were told that no embargo was active and that these questions had been already dealt with.
However, we learned yesterday night that these images and products were not supposed to be shown to the presse. Out of respect for Mattel and according to our own sense of responsability, ToyzMag has decided to remove this pictures from its website.
If there was no embargo, why weren't the pictures supposed to be shown? Sounds like an embargo.
Along with the Movie Master I may get the Superman ripping the motorcycle in half and a Zod. I'm a sucker for Superman merch (I even got a few from Returns) and I could use a Superman to go with my 3.75 DKR Batman and Hal Jordan.
Anxiously awaiting Movie Masters. Will probably pass on anything in the 4" line unless there is a cool piece that compliments the MM's
