lol Given the butt hurt I've seen from Quin fans over this version of the character the detail of the old costume laying under the hammer feels like DC is just trolling at this point.

Wow, I really like this. I think the old costume under the hammer is a nice touch.

It's a bit sparce with the paint detail. Or are my eyes going? And if Harley is supposed to be a Suicide Girl, where's her crummy tattoos, douchey boyfriend and constant spamming of her amazon wishlist?

I think it has more to do with that fact that it's fairly simple character design, so not much in way of detail to paint.

Well, she's got the douchey boyfriend part, at least.

If it was Arkham City Quin it'd be 2 out of three.

The online activities of our favorite DC Celebrities have remained a mystery for far too long!!!

You're totally right. Skinny, green hair, and trying to kill Gotham is a reall dick move. All we need now is "strippin on webcam" Harley, and the whole look is complete

It's just her new appearance in the New 52.

Personally, I don't like it. I love Harley Quinn as a concept and a character, and she can be really sexy as well. But this new costume just screams horny male teenage baiting, and like every other female character in DC she has become an overly sexualised one dimensional character. I don't think I would have minded as much if the costume made sense as part of the narrative (like in Arkham Asylum or City), but Suicide Squad hasn't been a great read either. But hey you know, gotta sell those comics somehow.

To be fair, Quin was never all that "dimensional" as a character to begin with.

I think this costume makes about as much sense as her Arkham City outfit. Which was that Quin's basically a bimbo.

    A crazy one to boot!

Can't say I'm impressed. It will probably work great as inspiration for some cosplayer at SDCC, though.

I disagree. I believe that her original portrayal in Batman TAS was well-rounded and had surprising depth for a cartoon character (like several others on that show). She certainly wasn't a one-note character, like Sugar and Spice (Two-Face's assistants from Batman Forever).

As for her current state, IMHO she's basically devolved into it as subsequent writers got a turn with her.

...that sounded far more disturbing than I intended.

I like the IDEA of Harley in the SS book, being on her own away from the Joker, but I DO NOT like that they have basically made her into a bi-polar psychopath. I also don't like that in the new 52 she is bleached white like the Joker ( because he threw her into chemicals like he was tossed into) instead of it being makeup. When she was with the girls (Catwoman and Ivy) she could just be normal Harleen sometimes. The cape needs to go , it just looks silly, But I loved her in Arkham Asylum/City. In AA she was just playing nurse dress up, but in AC she was in a more realistic outfit instead of a jumpsuit. I liked the corset and leather outfit, it had the basic color design of the jumpsuit but with a more biker gang bitch attitude.

Oh yeah, that is how she's drawn in suicide squad. I forgot all women in the new 52 have to look like lapdancers
